I had an oyakodon set and it was the simply the best I had. My only gripe is I cannot finish the bowl! It has a large portion of nicely-done soft rice with large chunks of chickens. Deceptively, it looks manageable in the beginning but when you coupled the bowl of rice with side dishes of kelp,lettuce,sliced fruits and a warm soup with mushrooms, it becomes a 'struggle'.My lady had naturally, the ladies executive set: sashimi, sushi, sticks of meatballs & bacon-wrapped tomatoes, chawanmushi, vegetable sides. The fish n chips served at Manhattan Fish Market is a nice dish in terms of portion and value-for-money. Nowadays, they are having lunch 1-for-1 deals. Plus, if you have NDP coupons to use, it makes for a decent-priced meal to have amidst a positively-buzzing environment. The fries dipped in tartar sauce complements the fried fish well. I had chicken baked rice at this restaurant. It is a very warm dish (beware: do not touch the steaming sides of the plate) and I find the cheesy flavour of it especially enticing. Managed to eat the plate clean. This is followed by 5 scoops of ice-cream. The usual flavours apply - though they have introduced a new one: gula melaka.
