Cold beancurd @ Can 1
Cold Beancurd
2011-12-13
It was a makeshift store when I first go there as their store was temporary as the booth was under construction. The price was alright and they took out from the fridge seems to me that it was made quite early and put in the fridge. The beancurd was alright and taste great. But at the bottom it was powder-ish. So it slightly put me off on the impression. But I guess there might be room for improvement.…Read More

dinner @ JP pizza hut
Pizza Hut
2011-12-13
Went to Pizza hut JP around 7pm, the waiting time was fast and the service is pretty organized.Ordered the Christmas Delight meal which includes a regular Jolly Glee Pizza, 2 soup of the day and 2 glasses of coolers.I personally dont like the coolers, it is just syrup with sprite or 7-up. And it is similar every year. The main attraction is the jolly glee pizza which includes some turkey slices, red pepper, onions, cranberry sauce and tons of cheese in the crust.Overall, I was pretty full by the end of the meal and I glad the jolly glee pizza did not taste as bad as I imagine because some selections are pretty bad.…Read More

Ordered a Charbroiled Sante Fe Chicken sandwich and Chicken Fillet sandwich. The waiting time was fast as we did not wait very long for the sandwiches. Charbroiled Sante Fe Chicken is a grill chicken with pickles. It taste sour and the meat was alright. Similarly, the chicken fillet sandwich is fried with mayonnaise, tomato and lettuce. The chicken were nice as we like chicken without the skin which there was none. The portion was very big as we upsize it to large. And the sandwiches were humongous.…Read More

Dinner at Sakae Sushi NTU
Sakae Sushi
2011-11-05
Always a nice place to eat dinner which is less crowded than shopping malls.Ordered a Chicken Sukiyaki and a Hanabi bento. The chicken sukiyaki is a hotpot with vegetables, tofu, chicken chops, and some other vegetables like mushroom, carrots, onions. The soup taste very nice. However, u need to wait some time for it to be cooked. So if you are hungry, ordered something light first. The Hanabi bento consists of a fried chicken, steam egg, lobster meat tofu, fish and fried tempura. It comes with a bowl of soup and rice as well. Everything was very nice except for the steam egg where the roe taste expired. Was very impress with the fried chicken, one word, "yummy".Overall, we came out very full for a two person. Pretty satisfied with the dinner.…Read More

Lunch time
BAKERZIN
2011-10-27
Lunch at Jurong Point Bakerzin. I always been a lover of their cakes. At some occasions, I will eat meals because of its unique taste.Ordered the spicy bloody mary, which is tomato soup. The tomato soup taste nice. The soup was pretty thick and there is a sweet and sour taste from the tomato. Also, the pepper amount was alright to make the soup slightly spicy. Japanese Curry Chicken rice (~S$13.50). The meat, tomato and potato were well cooked. However, I did not like this dish. The chicken and curry was separated. It means they cooked it separately, it tastes like two different dishes. Baked shell seafood with macaroni (S$16.90). It has two big clam, some red/yellow peppers, sliced prawns, sliced squid, macaroni and covered with tons of cheese. The macaroni was dry from the oven baked. The clams and prawns have some moisture retained. The cheese mixed with the seafood eaten together tastes pretty nice. There is a 10% discount using DBS cards. …Read More

Huge dinner at NTU canadian pizza
Canadian Pizza
2011-10-27
Ordered the combo set one, which serves 2-3 people. Everyday, they have 4 different selection of pizzas. We ordered the BBQ chicken flavor. Additional there are 3 wings, 3 drumplets, a plate of potato wedges and 1.5L bottle of pepsi. The pizza taste pretty nice with the BBQ sauce and chicken chunks. The wings were overcooked and pretty oily. The potato wedges were also normal as well. After finish everything, we were too full and did not drink the pepsi. The pizzas are alright and we can skip ordering the wings or wedges. It is more worthy to order just the pizza alone. …Read More

Dinner at BK JP
Burger King
2011-10-27
Ordered the new BK Italian Meal and a Mushroom swiss chicken burger. Upgrade the size of the meal and get a free Passion Fruit Sundae. As usual, there is always a queue at this outlet. The new BK Italian Chicken Burger is still not as iconic as the mushroom swiss tendergrill chicken burger. The passion fruit is pretty nice, with a taste of sweet and sour. …Read More

Soft beancurd
51 Soya Bean
2011-10-15
Ordered a original beancurd. Although it just took out from the fridge, it remains warm. It probably was just made.It was pretty soft and taste like soya milk. It reminds me of a brand, nutrisoy. It was not very sweet and the taste was not as strong. In general, it taste like a normal beancurd and perhaps we can try others.…Read More

Long que beancurd worth queuing
Lao Ban Soya Beancurd
2011-10-15
Was astonish by the queue and decided to queue up. It took me practically 40 minutes to wait for my turn. Everyone was like buying more than 10 bowls. Ordered a almond ($2) and a original beancurd ($1.50).The taste was worth queuing. It tastes like jelly and it is more dense. My preference has to go to the original. The almond taste covers off the original taste. The original beancurd is worth another bowl, which I regretted not buying more than one. …Read More

Fried kway teow
Lao Fu Zi Fried Kway Teow
2011-10-15
First time trying the kway teow because of the consistent que.The waiting time was alright. While I was waiting, many people request not to have clam inside. Anyway, I ordered the kway teow without any changes. My first bite reminds me of what how exactly kway teow was like when I was young. Pretty memorable. It was slightly sweet, tasty and not too oily. Upon eating the clam, I regretted. The clam was pretty raw and I gave up eating it. I prefer the clam to be more cooked.Nevertheless, will still give it a try, but request for no clam. …Read More

Wan Tan Noodle
Cho Kee Noodle
2011-10-14
First time eating @ Cho Kee Noodle. The waiting time was pretty alright. Although I ask for no chilli, but they still put in it. The noodle was very "Q". The noodle was not dry and has some sauce with it. Some places have their noodles cooked dry. The cha sau or the wan tan was pretty normal. In general, the noodle is the soul of the dish and am quite satisfied with it. …Read More

Fast Starbucks @ NTU
Starbucks
2011-10-13
Starbucks @ NTU offers 10% discount for all beverages for all NTU student and staffs. It is located right inside SAC. In general, the waiting time was fast. There is no cakes but other items (e.g scone, waffles). Perhaps it is easier for students to grab these items on the go.I ordered two drinks. One hot and one cold caramel macchiato. It was pretty nice and same as what you can find any starbucks outlet.…Read More

Dinner @ JP
Din Tai Fung
2011-10-04
Its my birthday today so I tried eating over for dinner. Its my second trip to the same venue. Was giving my tummy another chance to this restaurant. The service is good, waiting time was minimal. Ordered 上海醉鸡,小笼包,素菜包 and 担担面.In short, the 小笼包 was nice. The skin was thin yet it did not break easily. There is tons of juice in it as well.As for the rest, I did not like the bao or the noodle. The 担担面 was not spicy enough and there is no soup in the noodle. It seems to have more pepper than chilli. As for the 素菜包, the stuffing was way too little. The chicken was alright. But we can have better options from other places. …Read More

Nice cake @ Duxton hill
Flor Patisserie
2011-10-03
My first time to FLOR Pâtisserie.Ordered a high tea set and an individual tart. The cake that was chosen is Wakakusayama, which is a swiss roll with green tea and red beans. It was pretty awesome, the green tea taste was pretty balance and it is not as dry as some rolls I have eaten. I still remember the taste as I writes this review. The tart was an ice cheese tart. As a fan of cheese, the taste was pretty right. It is not as sweet those I have eaten. The cheese taste was balanced as well. I definitely enjoy the cakes and the afternoon. The cakes still lingers in my mind and I would like to try the rest of its selections. …Read More

Garlic Bread Tower and Grill Pizza
Mad For Garlic
2011-09-30
First time to Mad for Garlic Recommends Garlic Bread Tower. Truly garlic. Using butter really enhances the overall taste.Grill pizza was somewhat normal. Was expecting it to taste nice as well. But the appetizer was much better.Overall, I think the garlic theme is nice~ My regrets would be not ordering its iconic garlic pasta or pizza.…Read More
