Chillax by the beach!
Tanjong Beach Club
2012-07-29
Saturday, Lunch! Well, TBC Pancakes, Egg Benedict...etc. Look at the pictures aren't the just glorious? The Scenery and atmosphere is nothing short of being completely relaxing. I automatically make mental comparisons between this current club to the previous establishment, KM8 which served my favourite Sarong Fly, perfect for the hot beach weather. The Tanjong Beach Club serves up delicious food, such as the truffle fries which i strongly recommend. One could expect to pay around $25 and up, use of the pool is free. So this is a joint worth while going to and expect to be trapped there the entire afternoon, you know just chilling!Highly Recommended!!! The only thing lacking is a super special signature cocktail for the beach culture! Lostsingaporean.tumblr.com…Read More

ITALI -ANO
Amici Authentic Italian Restaurant
2012-07-28
DINNER THURSDAY was spent at this joint in Holland Village.. The food was hmmmm well i had lasagne and friends had some Pasta. IT was tasty enough for me. I liked the rich creamy flavour in the lasagne and the tomato paste was really well done not the sourish flavour. I would recommend this place for a date! but other than that for a friend get together and a long chat it was also good as it was not too crowded :). I would go again…Read More

Bread Talk!!!
BreadTalk
2012-07-28
Went there prior to swimming and the place was heaving with customers that proves how popular a place like this can be huh!! What i ordered was the plain curry-nan. This is definitly not one of the better delicacies offered at the place. I recall the cranberry bread being alot better. The staff are overworked here as there are too many patrons and the place is mopped often proving the floor to be slippery even thought it is clean.. The ice milo charged at 1.70$ is a bit pricey for a neighbourhood estate.…Read More

Picnic? Certainly Seems like one
Pique Nique
2012-07-28
Lunchtime 1.30pm at Pique Nique. Was it Value for Money? Was the Food Tasty? Was it Worth it? All these questions come to mind when you think of this place. Do not judge this place on my glorious photographs which will be uploaded. Well the setting was decent but thats as good as it gets. Certain dishes looked alright but was way too overpriced for what it was worth. I'd Sooner cross over Mcdonalds or the fast food chain opposite it...…Read More

Think Vegetarian aint Delicious, Think again
Sri Vijaya Restaurant
2012-07-25
Went there last tuesday with my Indian friend a vegetarian. Brought me to this place down Little India way-Selegie. Was empty as the time was neither here nor there and i looked around and the ambiance was typical street restaurant style! Never the less he ordered a mock curry chicken dish together with mine and when i ate it.. WOW it blew me away. I recommend this restaurant not just if you are vegetarian but also if you want to try delicious indian food without caring too much for the ambiance. …Read More

Jaz it up with Shhhhiiiishaaaa
Blu Jaz Café
2012-07-25
Was in the evening round about 7pm when me and my friends went over to Blu Jaz Cafe as we normally do. But remember to reserve a spot of sent one of your friends to go there ahead as it is over overpacked with throngs of people. Nevertheless the ambiance is a mixture of expats and locals who just want to chill in a psychedelic sorta feel environment. There are bands which play on the second floor, but for us we just wanted to shisha outside. So we ordered some side snacks of calamari, fries and corn toritallas the price was reasonable for a place like this say about 5-10$ per plate. and we called in the shiiiishaaa. The food quality is usually Good here and even by looking over at the other tables who ordered the main dish, well i have had one or two before and they usually are good especially the ribeye steak cause im a steak guy and i know a good steak! …Read More

French Fry- Nugget Holder.
McDonald's
2012-07-25
So here we were! Neighbours and gang having another "Chill" session out at the local Mcdonalds. I reckon we ordered a couple of packets of french fries and some nuggets. It was for a snack and just to you know hang! As well all know the Mcdonalds in Potong Pasir is a famous haunt for school goers from Saint Andrews... Great studying Ambience!Well the food at this Mcdonalds is also better than most of the chains we find in town as perhaps the workers take extra care to serve it up nicely as most of the customers from this "kampong" estate re-visit the place and we would take no nonsense! The fries and nuggets turned out as crispy and succulent as ever and we even started playingwith our food! We created a french fry--> Nugget Holder!!! Check out the cool pic! mehhh, now a days curry sauce costs like 30 cents for a packet.... cause we used to spam a lot!Its a Mcdonalds..... so there is defo room for improvement on the taste but other than that it was solid!…Read More

Bagussss Bak Ku Teh
Lau An Di Bak Ku Teh
2012-07-24
When you speak of Bak Ku Teh, This is the place to go! Everytime someone mentions it I only imagine coming here... No where else... Why? The meat literally comes off when you bite at it unlike some-places where you have to chew for ages before it rips of the bone and even when you have done that there are still pieces stuck to it... The only downside which i can see to this restaurant is that it is often overcrowded and it is in hot surroundings which can be bad. I recommend it for a late breakfast if you are up for it…Read More

Chiiiiickeeeeennn!!!
Boon Tong Kee
2012-07-24
Ate there for lunch just now, unfortunately i did not bring my camera with me if not i would have taken a picture of the succulent chunks of chicken i ate! The meat was so tender and the skin was just oily enough. Looking at it made my mouth water instantaneously. Nevermind the surroundings or the ambience or the service staff. What i was there for was the chicken rice and that i did have! 10/10 for the chicken rice. The added perk was that it was in the air conditioned environment which was very important for me as the weather outside was sweltering!!! A great place to go for Brunch! Eat in relative comfort without melting!…Read More

Super fantastic Peking Duck!!!
Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck (Paragon)
2012-07-24
Well the picture above was my attempt at rolling my very own Peking duck wrap. All those ingredients of course come on different plates for those who do not know about Peking duck! I went with a group of friends for dinner at around 6pm in the evening. It was not packed as i expected it would be and the price amounted to about $30 per person which was fairly decent and value for what it was! Even my friend from the UK enjoyed it and the only downside of the place was that our rice dish was not served together with all the other dishes instead it was served in the middle. I do hope the service staff get their plates served out at the same time!Other than that it was a great meal!…Read More

Jack-in-the-box!
Jack's Place
2012-07-24
G'day matey. Well what can i say? It was just after noon and we were roaming around the Marina Bay area. We were pretty hungry i dare say by this point as we had not eaten breakfast, so we wanted good wholesome food. With Jack's Place being a franchise and all we expected some standard from the place. We got what we paid for as I ordered a mixed grill which came out right and done in big portions. The staff were well trained and courteous. The place was clean and there were not many patrons to spoil our dinning experience. We felt comfortable! It was not the best dinning experience by far but it was certainly Value for money which we were looking for and it filled a hole in our bellies!…Read More

Vine-Tastic!
The Vines Restaurant
2012-07-24
Homely!!!So it was a friday night and we were hungry, yes we were! A number of places crossed our minds but we decided to go to The Vine, across from Novena Church. We got there and it was heaving with people, yet there was still a spot for us! The manager welcomed us in and ushered us to our seats. I ordered a medium well done steak and my dad a lamb cutlet. We entered into lively conversation and before long the meal had been served. The Booms factor was the Great Tasting Steak and the massive pork cutlet!!!!!!!! OMG!Arroy Mak Mak! <<< which means simply delicious (in my failed Thai attempt). What can i really say except, i will defo go there again!…Read More
