Teriyaki Salmon and Chicken Cutlet
The Palette
2013-08-25
I ordered the grilled salmon with teriyaki sauce while a friend ordered the chicken cutlet set. the portion was huge for the cheap price of $5.50 for both dish. for that portion of salmon fillet, it would have already cost me more than $5 in ntuc. i like the accompanying garlic bread for both dish too. it was huge too. the fries for the chicken cutlet was huge. everything was huge haha. all in all, its very economical to dine here despite it looking expensive (the reason why we went there actually rather than the McD canteen outside it) …Read More

Matcha with azuki bean
Gong Cha
2012-04-10
i have this $2.50 voucher for gong cha which is why i ordered one of their most expensive drink (or is this the most expensive one?). i love the matcha, but the taste is not as strong as tea dot one. in my opinion, they gave a lot of azuki bean which results in me eating the bean after just a few sips. i hate the brown thing that is floating on top of the drink too. is it brown sugar? anyway, it tastes weird! its a bad idea to mix them together. oh, and dont add in any other extra thing e.g white pearl because its likely that its not going to match the taste of matcha plus azuki bean.…Read More

LOVE TEADOT!
Teadot
2012-04-10
i love teadot especially their simply matcha. it tastes heavenly! the drink is not too sweet, it goes down your throat smoothly even though its not very watery. and the matcha taste is just really strong! but one bad thing about teadot is that seats are always very hard to find and the price is really high ): i can finish the matcha in 15min and it costs around $7. so yeah, its really expensive but i still think its the best drink ever. :) and the cost is that high because i ordered the largest size.…Read More

Ling Zahi
LingZhi Vegetarian Restaurant
2012-04-10
i went there with my friends for the buffet after hearing lots of raves about it. i have to say, im disappointed. its true there is a wide variety of food for the buffet. the food is good. but i hate that they poured some tea for us. we didn't order it. we also didn't protest it thinking that it was free. but alas, it cost $2 for each glass of tea that they poured. before the waitress poured it, she didnt mention that it will be an additional cost at all. and i have to say that that tea, whatever it was, was really bitter. anyway, other than this, the dirty plates were not cleared away very promptly too. it took about 10minutes? but im ok with this actually seeing that that was a lot of diners too. …Read More

Pizzahut
Pizza Hut
2012-04-10
the only reason why i popped by pizza hut for lunch because there was a 1 for 1 lunch deal going on at that time. my friend and i ordered the vegetarian lover and the meat galore pizza respectively. the pizza was not really served that hot and its just mediocre at best. the only consolation was that there was a lot of cheese for the vegetarian pizza, not so much for meat galore though. anyway, the service is below average really. we requested for chilli sauce. the waitress nodded and walked back to her station near the entrance to greet new customers. may i mention that there wasnt anyone approaching pizza hut at that time so WHERE'S MY CHILLI SAUCE? so instead of calling for another waitress, i signalled to the manager and well, the service was more prompt. its not just the chilli sauce you see, the same thing happened when my friend requested for a refill of warm water from a different waitress. we had to remind her when she walked by our table and at that time, it wasnt a busy period at all.…Read More
