Cafe at the secluded corner of Orchard
Kith
2014-12-21
Googled for a good place to have dinner at the bustling Orchard Road. :)Saw good reviews about the cafe and decided to head there to give it a try...And my verdict was: Superb fries and environment, good getaway from the crowded shopping area of OrchardOrdered the following dish:(top-down order) Truffle fries, smoked salmon pizza, granchioThe cafe food portion is generous enough for big-eaters. For 2 of us, I guess we ordered slightly too much as the mains were too much for us. The Granchio pasta was great. Simply better than all the pasta that I have tried at other cafes or restaurant chains. :)Smoked salmon pizza: The salmon slices are fresh and succulent. We could not finish the pizza bread dough though.Truffle fries was quite good. :) Worth to give this cafe a try if you are at Orchard area doing your Christmas shopping. :)…Read More

Lunch at the hidden gem in Bishan Park
GRUB
2014-12-21
It was a rainy Friday afternoon. Continued with our plans to dine at the cafe hidden in Bishan Park. Having been there it was indeed a jem at the North. :)When we reached the cafe, we were quite surprised that there were quite a lot of diners despite the rain. The rain did not dampen our moods for good food.Ambience of the cafe: Relax, chilledDecor of the cafe: Rustic feel (Brick wall, concrete floorings and some metal strucutures, matched with black, white and wooden furniture)Ordered our meals:-As you can see, our burgers are placed on the wooden squarish plate, fries are contained in the mug. Ordered long black coffee. The soup, bread and honey lime juice come together as a set with the lobster tail burger.Yummylicious food at a reasonable price. :) Highly recommended for those who stay at the North to give this cafe a visit. Nice pond and environment as you step out of the cafe. Nice place to relax should the weather permits... :) …Read More

Christmas Buffet at Santa Fe Restaurant
Santa Fe Tex - Mex Grill
2014-12-21
Dining on a ship!!! A totally new experience for me. :) Went on a late afternoon and board the Stewords Riverboat. It is conveniently located right beside the newly opened Marina South Pier NS line MRT Station. Sheltered all the way to the ship... :)Took pictures just before the sky turned dark.. Moving on the food which all of us are waiting for... Christmas comes early on board Stewords Riverboat. Each diner can choose a main course from the menu. And this is what we choose:-The restaurant offers a semi-buffet counter which consists of soup, breads and the following yummylicious food:-There's a live band performing while diners are enjoying their food with an occasional rock as what we expect on board a ship..Overall, the experience is great. Worth going to the restaurant to give it a try. :) Ambience is great for couples and family (there are 2 round tables to cater to big families) too. Toilet is conveniently located at the same level which is the Main Deck.Diners can also explore the upper deck of the ship before their food can... And what does this means, photo-taking time. :)…Read More

Big Breakfast from McDonalds
McDonald's
2013-06-19
McDonald has always been my all-time favourite fast food restaurant since young. :) Ordered Big Breakfast set meal and change my drink to warm Milo :)The hash brown is fried till it is golden crispy. Nice! :) Scrambled egg, the portion is just right. Added on salt and pepper to enhance the taste. The muffins, I add grape jam to it and eat them separately. There is meat patty too. Environment is not that bad. Should you visit McDonalds during the weekend with your kids, they will be given balloons too. A great place for family gathering in the weekends :)…Read More

Korean Food
Seoul Yummy
2013-06-19
The Korean wave is quite popular in Singapore. Beancurd soup with lots of vege and mushroom in it. Good taste There are 6 different side dishes served too, kimchi, ikan billis, peanut, cucumber, coleslaw and one cold tofu. Saba fish with their special sauce. It is still sizzling hot when it is being served. One of their signature dish. This is indeed YUMMY! All of you should try it out... :) This is the Bibimbap *dunno if my spelling is correct* Worth giving it a try should you wanna try out authetic Korean food. :) …Read More

Family Dinner
Food Odyssey Enterprise
2013-06-18
A family run business located at the shophouse just opposite Sembawang Shopping Centre.Ordered their signature turtle soup, medium size :) Really nutritional with turtle meat within it. Fried ngoh hiang. Self wrapped by the restaurant owner. Chestnuts in it enhance the taste.Braised frog leg. Yums served in a claypot bowl :)Brocolli with mushroom and carrots. Curry fish head. The gravy is well cooked though the fish portion is rather little. …Read More

Japanese Food Court
Ishi Mura
2013-06-18
Loves Japanese food. Want to eat it at reasonable price. Head over to Ishi Mura Food Court at Northpoint Top floor right now. :)Prawn garlic rice. Their serving is quite large and prawns are quite a lot. A sunny side up egg is included inside the hot stone pot too. We have to mix it ourselve to enhance the taste. Be careful of the sauce which may shoot onto your hand as the stone bowl is piping hot. :)Teriyaki Chicken Garlic Rice. Loves this much! <3…Read More

Pontian Wan Ton Noodles BEST!
Graffiti Cafe
2013-06-18
Pontian Wan Ton Noodles has opened quite a lot of outlets in different shopping malls, food courts and even hawker centre. I believe most of us have already notice this brand and the wanton noodles is indeed a notch above the others. :) 2 different set meals ordered for lunch. It comes with green bean soup as dessert, wanton soup (with 2 wrapped wanton inside) and the noodles. The noodles are mixed with black soy sauce, includes char siew, vegetables, and 1 fried wanton. Taste is superb. :)2nd set meal comes with a drink of your choice, chosen drink in the picture is water chestnut. :)…Read More

Fish Ball Noodle
EAT.
2013-06-18
EAT is a common eating place for me as it is near to the MRT at Boon Lay. It is located at the exterior of Jurong Point and it is kind of a cafe style. All self service with cleaners to clean up the bowls after diners have their meals. Good place for families as the chairs are movable. :)I always ordered the Fish Ball Noodle set which includes the thin noodles, fried wanton, fish ball and some meat in it mixed with tomato sauce. Served warm which is a plus point of this cafe. The customers turnover is quite fast so there is no worry of not getting a seat. :) …Read More

Timed 1 hour Sushi Dinner
Sushi Express
2013-06-18
First time visiting Sushi Express. Always see a long queue outside the restaurant, their sushi are at $1.50 per plate. For all variety. Do you know that it is so cheap as compared to other sushi restaurants in Singapore? We are given complimentary green tea, wet tissue and wasabi in a small pack.Ordered salmon miso soup. $1.50 per bowl too :) Great isn't it? Fast delivery to our table too. We were sitting at the sushi bar. :)Wow, my favourite. Slightly spicy scallops lips. Goody taste! :)Scallop sushi. Inari sushi, one of my favourite must order sushi too. :)Yellow fin fish sushi. It tastes so-so...Lobster salad. We waited quite awhile before lobster salad reaches where we are seated. Must have been all taken by other diners before us. Octopus sushi. Yummy!Mango pudding for dessert. It was a rather filling meal. We are given a time sheet which states the time to leave the restaurant for other diners. No wonder there's good business as their customers turnover are fast. Great concept! :)…Read More

Chocolatey Dessert
Chocolate Origin
2013-06-18
Chocolatey dessert at night can be found at 313 Somerset Basement where there are lots of snacks shops around. Seats are also available at 313 Somerset basement for you to finish up your late dinner, night snacks :) It's slightly crowded on weekend nights, if you don't mind, you can share a seat with others. :)Bought chocolate lava cake from Chocolate Origin. It is located at a prominent area near the seating areas. You cant miss it. Warm chocolate flows out of the cake as you have the first bite. Very sweet and chocolatey. Best for the chocolate lovers as you can slowly savour the melting warm chocolate in your mouth. …Read More

Dinner at Malaysia Boleh
Malaysia Boleh!
2013-06-17
Claypot rice served in authentic claypot bowl. It was really fragrant, but the chicken pieces were rather little. The serving of the claypot rice is small as compared to other food court. Worth giving it a try.Fried mee tai mak which has a little bit too much black sauce. During dinner time, it is rather packed and hard to get seats. The interior of the food court is decorated in retro style and played oldies. A rather pricey food court with mediocre portion of food served. …Read More

Lunch at Astons Speciality
Astons Steak & Salad
2013-06-17
First time going to Astons at Centrepoint. :)It has a salad bar within it. Great! This is what I have gotten from the salad bar. Warm baby carrots, cheery tomatoes, cool cucumbers and fusilli pasta :) All my favourite <3 There are other warm side dishes at the counter too. E.g. 4 different typed of soups (minestrone soup, onion soup), potato wedges, onion rings...My main course, ordered pork chop with french fries. Astons give large serving. ;)There are free flow of soft drinks and coffee too. :) Great ambience.…Read More

Pu Tien Signature Bee Hoon
PUTIEN
2013-06-17
Shopping around at Marina Square and had Pu Tien for lunch. We had vouchers from the previous Mother's Day meal at Pu Tien. 2 vouchers were used for our lunch. It was a complimentary Pu Tien Signature Bee Hoon with seafood. Oh my, the bee hoon is certainly much better than the ones we had from the coffee shop. The bee hoon has been much thinner as compared to the norm. :) It includes 3 prawns, 2 lalas, some vege and meat within it. However, it was rather bland without chilli. The La Ma (Pu Tien signature Chilli) was on the table for diners. A mixture of the chilli with the bee hoon. It was superb. We even bought back 2 bottles of chilli. Wrapped in cute box and paper bag which has La Ma Chilli imprinted on it. …Read More
