A place for good pizzas, pastas and salad. The crust is on the thin side so you don’t have to worry about getting too full on pizza crusts! One of my favourite places for All-Day Brunch, Kith Café has a lovely informal ambience by the river side. It’s easy to while the hours away as you sip you latte and tuck in. Unfortunately the food is so good that you end up finishing really fast and having nothing left on your plate. I love the Breakfast platter which comes with your choice of eggs , sautéed mushrooms, bacon, smoked sausage and toast. The toast is thickly sliced and crisp, so you get lot of bite. The raspberry jam that's served with it is thick, tart and full of pulp instead of the cheap jelly versions. I’ve saved the best for last which is the sausage which is full of smokey falvour and grilled to perfection. Have you tried their fiery buffalo wings here? Please come prepared for a good tongue tingling should you order them! The good news is that you can specify the degree of spicyness of the BBQ marinate from level 1 all the way to level 5! I tried level 3 and it was manageable, so onto level 4 the next time! The Fat Cat restaurant has an interesting concept in which they serve 3 cuisines: French, Indian and Thai. I’ve not tried their Thai food, but if their French and Indian food is anything to go by, I’m sure that it is fantastic. My husband and I are fans of all the kinds of Naan they have here, be it cheese naan, plain naan, garlic naan, they are all simply delicious in texture and taste. One can gladly eat them on its own, but then you’ll be missing out on the curries which are just as superb. We tried a bean stew with different cuts of meat in it; lamb, beef and chicken and the meats were so tender that they practically fell apart at the touch of the fork. The only thing I can recommend here is the home-made potato chips which they provide as an appetizer. They are lightly salted and are well fried. Unfortunately, I can’t say otherwise for their steaks. The ribeye that I had was simply not flavourful and the accompanying béarnaise sauce was unpalatable. I only tried two dishes here and it was the crayfish pasta and the sausage and rosti dish. Both were done perfectly. The crayfish pasta was in a tomato based sauce that had just the right amount of sweetness and tartness to it. The crayfish was nicely done with the meat being tender with just the right amount of bite. The rosti crispy and a golden brown was a nice base for the juicy garlic sausage. Basically this place specialises in Okawa Rice which is sticky rice cooked with beans, vegetables and seaweed. No other bakery can beat their chicken floss buns! I’m a fan of these fluffy goodness as the cream used in it is mildly sweet and does not compete with the taste of the floss. Other favourites of mine would be the cheese sticks, Hawaiian pizza and the bun with bakkwa in it (apologies, I’ve forgotten the name). The Tomato buns here are definite must tries! Every bite makes you feel like you’re actually eating a soup of tomato, that’s how good and flavourful it is! They come in a packet of 4s, and I wish they came in bigger packets! When I first tried the ramen here, I was overwhelmed by the huge serving of ramen and the thick slices of char-siew in it. Needless to say, I couldn’t finish it on my own. However, recently I decided to hav it again and realized that the portions have shrunk! The ramen given was lesser and the slices of pork were not as thick. Hmmm, I wonder if it’s because many customers were not finishing their meals? Anyway, the noodles here are slightly thicker, but springy with a good bite. I would say that the food here is average. The pizzas here are small and so if you’re thinking of sharing, do order at least two. I found it strange that they would top the parma ham pizza with lettuce instead of rocket leaves and it definitely isn’t as tasty a combination. Their classic hand-tossed crust is both crispy and chewy while the toppings are generous. I’m especially a fan of their classic pepperoni pizza as its lightly spiced flavour is fragrant and tasty.
