It was a long time since I last entered Lao Beijing. I decided to call to make an reservations for 2 to have dinner together with my wife. When we reached them, we saw there is a queue. Luckily we had made reserveration and we do not need to wait to be seated. There is something interesting about the resturant that their menu diesgned like wu ling mi ji. The whole layout of the restaurant is also interesting. The wise selection and use of furniture has helped to create a strong Chinese presence. Food served at Lao Bei Jing are really good quality. My wife and I always like to go Keppel Bay, it is one our favourite dating place. We always like to go to the TCC to enjoy ourself. I remember last month, we went there for dessert and coffee just after our dinner at Vivocity. We ordered the strawberry yogurt cake and a chocolate cake with banana ice cream.The strawberry yogurt cake tasted like swiss-roll and the chocolate cake tasted like a brownie. Everytime, i drive around Tiong Bahru. My wife will make me stopby to Leung Sang to buy some Hong Kong Pastries. Their famous are the Bo Luo Bao, Chicken Pie and Egg Tarts. We will always will buy a 2 box of mix Bo Luo Bao, chicken Pie and egg tart to bring back for our family to eat. I always like the Bo Lo Bao especially the BBQ Pork Bo Luo Bao. I went there for lunch with some of my colleagues. it's a halal buffet restaurant that offers international cuisine, a wide variety includes sushi, sashimi, cold seafood such as clayfish, prawn, salmon, mussel, scallop and etc, salad bar, chinese dishes, good western and chinese soups, dim sum, local delights and more They have an open kitchen which shows the customers how food is been prepared. Patisserie Glace is a japaneses pastry and cake shop. It is located at ICON Village near Tanjong Pagar MRT opposite off Amara Hotel. I still can rememeber that day i went tanjong pagar to meet up some of my ex-colleages to have lunch at Amara Hotel. After our lunch, my ex-colleague wanted to buy some pastry and we walked over to ICON Village to checked out Patisserie Glace. I've heard alot of my friends talking about the burger from Fatboy and i just never got the chance to check it out. One evening, my wife and i decided to go there to have our dinner. We ordered a chicken burger, pork burger and 2 milk shakes. Overall, the burger taste good and juicy. It was quite a big size. For milk shake, it is very thick and creamy. As for services, they are very prompt, friendly and sincere. For price, i think the burger is abit expensive but overall still worth it to try. My wife and I were having dinner at chinatown. Just after the dinner, my wife have craving for dessert and she suggest to bring me to Bonheur Patisserie to try out the pastry. Bonheur Patisserie. Every pastry looked so pretty and for a moment, we didn't know which to try. We end up order 4 different pastry and all taste really very good. Their service are very friendly and obliging and we were offered water as we didn't get any drinks. As for price, i think abit quite expensive. My first impression that the cafe was very cheerful and pristine. y wife and i went there for the first time and was strongly recommended by my relative. Our first impression that the place was quite run down with the deco are the old 80s style. My relative told us that the cold crab was very fantastic but we didn't know that we need to make reservation for the cold crab and we did not get the chance to try it. We ordered clayfish, vegetable, oyster egg and yam paste. Overall the food are very nice food, but the service is not up to expectation and i think they should improve. Today before i left my office, my wife called me to ask me to visit Catherine in Mount Alvernia. She told me to pick her up at Suntec City at around 6.30pm. After picking her up, we drove straight to visit her. She give birth to a boy. We stay there till 9pm and we left to go Long House at Thomson for our dinner. I told my wife that there is a popular Big Prawn Noodle that she must try out. We ordered 2 bowl of Big Prawn Noodle, my wife was shocked when she saw the size of the bowl. Most of the Friday, i will pick my parents up from my brother's place at Toa Payoh and usually i have dinner together with them. Recently, my dad love to eat the claypot rice at Toa Payoh HDB at Koufu will located at Level 2 opposite to OCBC bank. One Friday, i followed my dad ordered the claypot rice. It is not very expensive cost and usually will need to wait for 5-10mins to cook the claypot rice. I like the smell of the claypot rice. The claypot rice consist of rice, chicken,slices of La Chang and salted fish as well. After the claypot rice is cooked, usually we will put dark soya sauce. Today, My parents went to my brother's place to bring my niece to see their family doctor. My mum called me up that they will be at Toa Payoh. After my work, i went straight down to my brother's place. When i reached there, it was 7pm. My family and i decided to go to HDB Hub Gourmet Paradise to have dinner. When we are taking down the escalator to Gourmet Paradise, we saw a long queue of 20 over people. My brother told us it was the famous Soon Heng Rojak that was strongly advertise in the TV Show. My mum wanted to try the rojak and my brother queue up to buy. He bought 4 dollars of rojak. It was a Sunday afternoon that i was recalled to go back to go back camp to do some system configuration. After my work, i called my wife to find out where she is. She told me that she was chinatown point. I drove straight down to chinatown point to meet up with her. When i reached chinatown,it was already 6pm. I recalled that there is a traditional cantonese pastries called Tong Heng that is around the corner. I decided to stop by to buy a box of egg tart back for my family. One Box cost only $7, if buy One piece it cos around $1.50. I like the taste really good and it is not like the normal egg tart with thick skin crust. the crust for the egg tart is very soft. It was a sunday morning, usually my family will have breakfast together. I asked my parents what they like to have for breakfast and they replied they like to have noodles. My wife and i suggested to go Hougang Blk 684 for roast duck noodles. Immediately we changed and drove straight there. Today after my work, i went to pick my wife up from her work place at changi business park. I asked her what she like to have for dinner and she replied laska. I told her why don't we go buy laska back home. We drove to Tampines Century to buy 2 laska back home. The laska have slices of fish cakes and taopo. When we drove back home with our laska and i told my wife i just have laska from EAT at Chua Choo Kang Lot 1 two days ago. My wife bought another groupon promotion from Mr You Tiao. The groupon promotion is a 2 set meal with drinks. One Sunday afternoon, my wife and i went to tampines to shop and we decided to check out on Mr You Tiao. We ordered 2 set of curry chicken and lime juice. The curry chicken set come with curry chicken, half hard boiled egg, one you tiao and white rice. Without the promotion the set meal cost around $7 plus. The curry taste good and not too spicy.
