Penang Seafood Restaurant
Penang Seafood Restaurant

This is my third time to Penang Seafood Restaurant. Went over to have their Prawn Mee.Their Penang Prawn Mee has two types, the Big Prawn Mee and the Small Prawn Mee. Had the Big Prawn Mee previously, so I tried the Small Prawn Mee today. The soup is nice and spicy, but the prawns is not as good as the big prawns. Their serving is quite big as well.I'm not a fan of seafood with shells, but I must say their Sambal Lala is nice, I think I ate more than 10pcs. Their Sambal is not very spicy and it taste pretty good. The Salted Egg Sotong came pretty slow. After we finished our prawn mee and Lala, we checked with the waitress if they did place our order for the sotong. It only came after we asked, not even apologetic at all. It wasn't even crowded and they can't serve us properly. It took like half an hour, and I don't think they need so long to prepare the food. Anyway, I didn't really expect the Salted Egg Sotong to be like what you see in the picture. I expect it to be fried with flour and then adding the salted egg gravy. I'm not really a fan of seafood, so seeing the white and purple flesh doesn't make it look appetizing. But the Salted Egg Gravy is good.…Read More

The food tasted pretty average but not worth the prices. The Bibimbab was twice the amount from those found at foodcourt, and the taste was somewhat the same? The topokki was way better than the one I prepared but it cost $10, too expensive. Even their free flow side dish isn't entire free-flow. Free flow side dish from Man'tory Set, most of the side dish is yummy, especially the Anchovies. Topokki is quite spicy, can order as a side dish to share. Dolsot Bibimbab is pretty the same as the one you can find from food court, serving is quite big too. Dolsot Curry Pork Cutlet, the curry is not spicy. Jjajang Myeon is not bad, but first few bites will not be very nice cause the taste is very different from many of the other noodles we had before. Some other dishes from Man'tory Set like the soup is nice. It's actually quite worth the money to order the set because it comes with 2 soups, 1 fish and many side dishes.…Read More

Their home-fries taste bad, probably we don't like the way it is cooked. Their plate doesn't look appealing and their eggs doesn't taste nice either. It's funny when they add a watermelon to the meal.Their interior wasn't nicely decorated as their furniture used seems too old which doesn't give the cafe a nice ambience. Overall still okay, but won't come back again. It's located near the railway, so you can take some pictures before leaving.…Read More

Of everything we ordered, I only like their Ice Milk Tea. Didn't know their Ice drinks come with Ice-cream, no wonder the price is double of the hot version.I had the Scallop, Salmon and Asparagus Baked Rice. Wasn't to my liking. Their rice meal comes with a complimentary soup, too. Prawn Paste Chicken wasn't as good as those I had from Zi Char stall. Tofu with floss was okay, but i dislike the floss quality. Our dinner costs $52. I think it's too expensive for 3 rice sets, 2 sides and 3 drinks. I don't find the food nice, but there's a long queue. Anyhow, I will never head back next time. …Read More

Location is good with free parking! Better make reservation in advance as it's quite crowded during the weekends. Nice place to chillax, too.The Big Brekkie is good, but it will be better with hollandaise sauce on the poached eggs. The Eggs Benny is so special because they use corn waffles instead of muffins,it is special and delectable. The Garden Brekkie will be nice if you're a vege lover. Too much vege and no meat, not something i will order. The Burger Fries is not bad and their coffee are nice!…Read More
