This is a simple dish of potato wedges that can be used as a simple snack when you’re hungry, an appetiser, or to accompany other main course dishes. The recipe here is for 1 serving but can be scaled up easily to serve as many people as needed.
1 large potato 1 tbsp vegetable oil 2 tsp smoked or normal paprika Salt
Method
1. Clean the potato then slice it lengthwise into 8 wedges and preheat your oven to 220°C. 2. Put the wedges in a bowl, add the oil, paprika and salt, 3. Toss to make sure the wedges are coated evenly. 4. Arrange them on a baking tray lined with aluminium foil or baking paper and slide them into the oven. 5. Roast them for about 30-40 mins, using your eye to judge when they get nicely crisp and browned. 6. Serve hot with a dip of sour cream or mayonnaise.
