If you are heading towards Clarke Quay central looking for a place with affordable and good Japanese Food, do give Kyomomoyama. Its on the third level of Clarke Quay central, has minimalistic deco and really great sashimi. For the price we paid for the sashimi set (under $15 if i recall correctly), it was absolutely worth it. The sashimi was fresh and they weren't stingy, each slice was fat and juicy - something that you would be hard pressed to find for the price i paid. In fact, the best thing

In fact, the best thing that can be said about Kyomomoyama (apart from taste) is that their portions are always just nice, not too filling (some jap places load you with a tonne of rice) and not too little (other jap places serve food in really cute BUT very small dishes). We also tried their sushi, don sets, terriyaki chicken, none of which disappointed us. Their desserts however, left us slightly disappointed following the impressive main courses. The ice cream was of typical low end factory made product and i was expecting more flavours too. The restaurant is rather quiet so its good for a small gathering where you want to be able to talk and hear each other, but not too quiet that you feel bad for making noise.
