Just across from the Sultan Mosque, this is a cozy little Thai restaurant run by a family from Hat Yai. While you'll find all the usual Thai favorites on the menu like phad thai, tom yam goong, and papaya salad, the real stand-outs are the Southern Thai dishes. Try the Hat Yai style fried chicken with sticky rice or the Massaman curry - my absolute favorite dish. Depending on the day, they make it with chicken or beef and it tastes like of like if a Thai cooked rendang curry - really rich, oil

Try the Hat Yai style fried chicken with sticky rice or the Massaman curry - my absolute favorite dish. Depending on the day, they make it with chicken or beef and it tastes like of like if a Thai cooked rendang curry - really rich, oily, coconutty, but extra spicy. And it's served with yellow rice and some kind of fruit chutney. Yum!
Best yet, prices are an incredibly good value. Most dishes designed to serve one person are about $5, or you can order a bigger size for sharing. There's no Singha beer since it's Halal, but they do sweet Thai iced tea and lemongrass juice.
