This is one of the cheapest places to dine at along the burnished stretch of Orchard Road. We usually have a relatively good cze char meal here, but it was unfortunate that on this one occasion we ate here, the food turned out below par. Most of the dishes weren't fresh. In fact, they tasted rancid, which was just unforgivable.

We had:

1) Claypot Beancurd ($10) - so not worth the price. Apart from the vegetables and mushrooms, the beancurd pieces tasted rancid. Even the oyster sauce gravy wasn't enough to mask the staleness of the beancurd

2) Onion Omelette ($5) - the only dish that was passable. Sweet browned onions cut through the slight saltiness of the egg

3) Ipoh Mushroom Kway Teow ($5) - just awful, the prawns were mushy, char siew tasted artificial and rubbery, mushrooms were spongy and sourish and the gravy was overtly starchy
