The chef really got the timing right for the breaded salmon ($13.90+) as it wasn’t overcooked and still pinkish raw in the middle. The chef really got the timing right for the breaded salmon ($13.90+) as it wasn’t overcooked and still pinkish raw in the middle. Plus, I’m impressed by the croutons in the salad, very fresh and crispy! As for the cafe’s namesake, the fries were a letdown. Choose either shoestring or straight-cut and seasonings include original, curry, salt and vinegar, sour cream and onion, garlic and herbs.

Garlic and herbs: Lots of herbs but no garlic flavour. Adding a clove of garlic to the fries for the visual effect doesn’t make it garlicky, you know.

Salt and vinegar: Very weak non-existent vinegar seasoning.

Sour cream and onion: The fries version of Pringles chips. This has the strongest flavour out of all.

For a place that’s more or less all about fries, I expected better than average fries.
