I always ta-pao the carrot cake here for supper. My gf loves it too. Although it's a tad oily, this is a comfort food at it's best served piping hot with the light garnishing of spring onions or chye-poh. I think the carrot cake here has a good balance of steamed minced radish and flour. Some carrot cake elsewhere taste more like flour cakes. Bluek. Anyway if you are in Chua Chu Kang and is looking for a plate of snack to share with a friend, I would recommend a plate of black oily carrot cake.
