Visited Oriole Cafe and Bar for dinner and a catch up session with friends. If you would like some peace and quiet, it's best to sit inside the cafe and it will insulate you from the music from the other bands performing at nearby bars. But if you would like to soak up the atmosphere and people watch, the outdoor seats are ideal. I decided to try their mains and ordered risotto garlic prawns ($25) which is essentially arborio rice soaked in prawn bisque and served wiht grilled garlic prawns, and asparagus. Prawn lovers will absolutely love how the prawn flavour is infused into this dish. The smell of prawn is inescapable as you chew on each grain of rice. The prawns served were also huge and crunchy, making this dish really enjoyable. The serving is a little small though, but I guess that's the usual for a risotto dish.
