I haven't really explored AXA tower at the Tanjong Pagar area until this week and realised they did have quite a variety of cuisine worth checking out at affordable prices. We were celebrating 2 of our colleagues bday so we came to Mart boulevard at AXA tower for some drool-worthy Thai food.

The first thing that hit me was the setting-- set on a semi open-air terrace, the lunch crowd was buzzing and relaxed, quite unlike other places in the CBD where people are a little stressed trying to rush their lunch. Over here, you actually see people having a beer or 2, gathering in lunch groups, quite like the after office-hour crowd I would say.

Food menu is not huge but the main thai food are available--tom yum, phad thai, green curry...

We ordered tom yum, green curry, som tum, fried tofu cubes and thai fish cakes to share.

Overall, portions were on the smaller side and I would say taste is average. I did like the papaya salad though the serving is definitely too small for me. It was just right spicy and had a very nice tangy taste. The tomyum was very normal, not too spicy as well, and green curry had some generous 2 pieces of chicken but the curry was a little thinned out.

Sides were not too bad; tofu cubes were nicely deep fried and I liked the sauce (generally anything with peanuts i heart) and the thai fish cake was tasty though quite oily.

I would return again but maybe for drinks and bar food.
