hwee kee is established in the 50s if I am not wrong. this shop sells traditional teochew food braised meat 卤肉, 猪脚冻 and 沙鱼肉 (not big white shark) they cook their food traditional way, no short cut. for those for are health conscious can choose to order lean meat instead of porkbelly From the the price from 4.50 includes a plate meat and a yam rice. you got to try it yourself to experience it.
