Hubby was visiting a friend in Serangoon area and bought hokkien mee back for family lunch. The hokkien mee is $3.50 per box for a small serving. What I liked about this stall is they are very generous with pork lard which is one of the important ingredients for yummy hokkien mee. Other than lards, they have the standard fresh prawns, squid and shredded pork belly meat. The chili was good as well.

There's 2 different types of hokkien mee, 1 is the dry kind and the other will be the wet kind! And of cuz I prefer the wet kind better. The savory broth of the noodles just blends in so well with all the other ingredients used! Having it served to me piping hot is the best thing for either lunch or dinner! And believe me after the first mouth it just keeps me going for more! Situated in a forgotten coffeeshop at serangoon north, I would say xiao di hokkien mee is definitely worth the trip there
