Unknown to many, Cafe Galilee makes it's presence known in many national libraries and also, catering services in many government events. I was at a public service event whereby I noticed the food was catering from this company. Most of the snacks were very light, not gerlat. Even the brownie was very light, I usually fear brownies from caterers, as they're usually the commercially produced, super hard and dense/frozen for a long time, brownies. The cheesecake was a cube of cream cheese, over a light cake sponge, no biscuit, graham cracker based. I actually liked the cake base, another modification which helps make these snacks "lighter".The chicken pastry, which is the halal version of the char siew soh/seremban siew pau-style, tasted a bit strange. The pastry smelt and tasted very buttery and the chicken was cooked to taste like char siew.Still, reasonably okay food caterer, for tea snacks for any occasion. continue reading

This spaghetti is not bad, quite nice. The spaghetti is a bit too soft,so it will stick on my teeth, but the tomato base is quite nice.Although the amount of tomato base is quite few,it is still enough for whole dish. The chicken is also not bad, some kind like the Salty chicken from Taiwan. It is crispy and salty.I like to eat the chicken with some chilli sauce,it taste like chicken popcorn. continue reading

While on a study date with my friend at JE library, we headed to Cafe Galilee for a break and for a drink to quench our thirst.I chose the Cookies&Cream Illusion milkshake as I had been craving oreos for a few days!It was really really thick and too sweet for my liking. After a few sips, the drink got too overwhelming due to the sweetness. Also another thing I noticed is that there was a lot of blended ice and not much to drink.Definitely a disappointment (N) continue reading

The weather was uber cold that day but I needed something cold after having western food cos it made my throat feel really dry..Since me n bhav were heading back to the library,we decided to chill at the cafe and this drink caught my eye. It's called Cookies and cream illusion..I asked them what it is and they said it's an ice blended drink with oreo cookies and vanilla ice cream...I was like woaaah.Just what i needed at that moment. It actually tasted abit like mcflurryJust that this one was sweeter... continue reading

I am on leave today, so went down to the Jurong Regional Library for some reads. Although there's a library at the nearby Clementi Mall, but I sort of missed the food at Cafe Galilee which is separated out from the library at one corner. This cafe allows us to enjoy a meal or snacks or drinks while reading the library magazines or books inside. I ordered their Fish O Spaghetti in tomato sauce for myself and wanted to ordered a strawberry milkshake. However, the cashier told me that they are having this promo now that is only $0.50 more and I can the spaghetti and a bottle of Snapple. Value for money. This is my mum's Cheese and mushroom sandwicd costing $3.80 which I don't really like. Felt that they should have a set too which comes with a soup. My Fish O Spaghetti came. It was delicious but some part of the fish they did not remove the silver skin and it taste super fishy. The outer crust is crispy and warm. Together with the thick tomato sauce, it will makes you come back for more. PS: The cashier here is a nice guy too. I paid using my EZ LINK FLASH PAY and actually left the card behind on the machine, luckily he found it and return to me halfway while I was eating. He not only have to take order, and manage money, he also helped to clear the plates. continue reading
