Signature Dishes
Beef Bomb Chicken Salad
Review (4)
Currently East Point Mall is closed for major renovation.Food lovers for Istanbul Gourmet can visit their new outlet at 314 Joo Chiat Road Tel: 64406026.Our favourite dishes are Chicken Roll (S$9.00) and Beef Bomb (S$9.50).Chef Henry seasoned the chicken roll with spices. Steamed the roasted chicken to retain the moisture of the meat, half roasted in the machine and then placed them at the roasting spit. For the beef bomb dish, a boiled egg is wrapped in beef patty also seasoned with special condiments. Both dishes are served with a bed of fresh lettuces, baked herbal potatoes, shredded carrots, thinly sliced cucumber and peas on the side. Topped with Istanbul Gourmet salad dressing. For chilli lovers, you can also opt for "power chilli" to go with these two dishes, a special term used by Chef Henry. continue reading

I like this place. Non-complicated, simple and down to earth. Yet it serves really good food. This is the chicken doner kebab that I had for dinner. Been here a couple of times, tried the chicken roll and beef bomb too! Very fresh and tasty meat. Healthy too with the piles of vegetables on your plate. The laksa was pretty popular, saw many customers ordering it but personally I am not a fan of the laksa. continue reading

I had dinner this evening at Istanbul Gourmet, amazingly there wasn't much of a crowd tonite, perhaps cos of the wet weather. Thus, I ordered a chicken doner kebab. The staff was very friendly and efficient, my order came in less than 5 minutesIt looked good but the bread for the doner looked different from the other doner kebabs that Ive eaten elsewhere. As i took a bite into it, the bread was soft like a sandwich bread, definitely not your usual turkish bread. That was rather disappointing to me although the chicken and the salad that was in the stuffing was pretty good. continue reading

I came across this restaurant when I happened to be in East Point shopping centre in Simei searching for something to eat. This restaurant is hidden at corner of East Point and I thought it was worth a try. There serve authentic Turkish food but somehow they also serve Laska as well. Anyway, I ordered a mushroom soup and the chicken roll which was the signature dish. It was so tasty as the sauce really blends in with the crispy chicken and goes well with it. It was also a generous portion for the reasonable price, I think it was really worth it. I only paid about $12 for a soup, a main course and for ice lemon tea. Glad I went in to try. continue reading
