I am quite a fan of the different types of fritters served here but their standard is not quite consistent. Most of the times, it tasted nicely fried but at times, it was a tad too oily and bland. There are some interesting ones that i enjoyed like the crab stick and soft shell crab rather than the usual prawns. The best way to enjoy these fritters is to have it with their specially made chilli sauce. It added flavour and enhanced it very well. continue reading

This vegetarian stall at AMK hub has won my trust and confident in their fine cooking on the vegetarian dishes. If you ask me, just pick any dishes display at their stall and I can assure you every single dishes serve here taste really nice and the presentation is also very good as well. My personal favourite is their vegetarian vegetable curry, which has lots of cabbages, purple egg plants, lady fingers, long beans and carrot in it. All these vegetables are really fresh and crunchy. The gravy is thick and milky and not to spicy, which is ideal for me since I can't really take it on too spicy food. Just by ordering this dish and with a plate of plain fragrant rice is more than enough to satsify my tummy! continue reading

not sure why their corn tastes chalky. it's like genetically modified corn or some fake corn. or is it dried corn or old corn or something else? it's very hard to finish the cup as the corn was too chalky and weird. no amount of topping can help it. you can choose to add different toppings like butter, salt, cheese, etc etc. starts from $2.20 and toppings are extra. not worth it at all. feels like eating pretend corn. the deep fried stuff are better but i wonder about the quality of their vegetables if their simple corn in a cup is so bad... continue reading

I organized a 1 day Ang Mo Kio makan trip the last time and had a foodilicious experience. Other than hawker treats, famous snacks and desserts, not forgetting sinful food as well. Happy veg has been around for quite sometimes and had expended with more branches since. I tried from nex and AMK, would still prefer the ones from AMK. Maybe it's the skill of the employee.Fragrant and crispy on the outside, moist and flavourful inside. Especially when dipped with the mild sweet and spicy chill sauce, simply fantastic.Available in different flavours like chives, yam, prawns, shishamo, crabmeat stick etc...plenty to choose from! continue reading

It’s a good snack for people who aren't really hungry but feel like eating something. Though it's deep fried, it doesn't feel very oil. Rather, it is just nice to satisfy your stomach. There’s many flavours to choose from and though it’s not very healthy ( even though it is made with veg ), i will still buy it again. continue reading
