Signature Dishes
Came to this Japanese restaurant for my late lunch and glad that there isn't any long queue today since I came here at really odd hours. The restaurant is nice and cosy, with very bright and clean environment. Service here is fast and friendly too. Have bought the Hotate Nabe Wazen ($16.90) to eat, which comprice of lots of vegetables and fresh juicy fat scallops and japanese thick transparent rice noodles. The soup base is sweet and flavourful. The salmon sashimi is super fresh and chewy. As for the steamed egg is very soft and moist, with some chicken meat, crab meat inside that make it sweet and tasty. Comes to the coke float ($4.90) , is gassy and love the smooth vanilla ice cream topped on it that is very appetizing and refreshing!

Ichiban Sushi is one of my favourite casual dining restaurants to go to whenever I just wanted somewhere simple and convenient while at the same time being able to try out different food. Their vast menu selection always leave me spoilt for choice and I always have something different to order. This time around, I ordered their Nabeyaki Udon ($11.90), which is basically a hot pot styled udon, with seafood and vegetables cooked in a hot pot. The tempura shrimp tasted amazing after soaking in the deliciously flavoured soup. The fresh udon was also springy and filling. Love the soup base the most! This restaurant never fails me at providing customers with fantastic Japanese food at affordable prices, will always be in my list of favourites.

We really do. There's a bunch of us girlfriends with a chat group called Ichiban girlfriends. Whatever the initial plan might be to attempt to try this new place or that, we're always happy to fall back on plan B which of course, is Ichiban. Just a simple dinner with comfort food that always manages to deliver with consistent standards.we got the pumpkin croquette and to replace salmon skin, we had potato croquette this time too. the interior of these potato had these orange bits that look like carrot. a delicious mash coated in panko and deep fried, it's a lot of yum. i never figured out why one cost double the price of the other though. potato comes in a single serving while the pumpkin comes in a pair and they cost $2.40 each.more fried items with the karaage at $8.90 if my memory doesn't serve me wrong. delicious pieces of chicken. and chicken skin. perfect with japanese mayonnaise as a dip. delicious! And this premium plate of tamago. the tamago was soft and fluffy with its layers. this needs a dab of wasabi for added oomph. Loving our ichiban dinner date.

I went with my wife to Ichiban Sushi for lunch last Saturday. It was quite crowded when we went even though it was already 1pm. Nonetheless, since there is only two of us, it was easier to get seats and we are seated after 10 minutes. We ordered ala carte instead of the sets as we are more fond of eating the sushis. The lowest priced sushi costs $2.40. We ordered a variety like the unagi sushi ($3.90), Chawanmushi ($3.90) etc etc. I would say the unagi sushi is not really worth the price as the unagi is very small. However, most of the other sushis we got are quite up to standard. In particular, I will recommend "The Peak" sushi which was lobster salad sushi on rice. It is quite novel and we quite enjoyed the taste and presentation of the dish. We also ordered the salmon sashimi which costs $9.50. There are a total of 7 slices and each slice is fresh and sweet. I normally do not like raw food but I thought this was rather nice and something which I will not mind eating again.

Was at AMK hub running some errands and so decide to go Ichiban Sushi for my favourite Japanese Cuisine. Am not very hungry today and so I just ordered 4 kinds of sushi. Salmon Avocado Mayo Gunkan - $2.40This sushi is nice and fresh with quite a lots of salmon and avocado toppings on the top.Unagi sushi - $4.20Nothing much to rave about this, just the normal unagi sushi that we get to eat everywhere.Crispy Spicy Tuna Mayo Makimono - $2.40This is quite unique but quite yummy, a bit spicy and yet crispy on the outside. Norway Delight - $4.20This is pretty normal, just the normal salmon sushi with some mayo and 2 slices of avocado.
