I was looking forward to trying the steak at this place. Upon arrival I didn’t have to wait for a table, the service was quick and I ordered the ribeye steak (medium rare) with pepper sauce and a Merlot to pair. When the streak arrived it looked good with the fries, pot of ratatouille and pepper sauce. I start with the steak and was disappointed. The meat was a too chewy but the chips, ratatouille and Merlot was good. I don’t know about you but I generally have a high anticipation of steak and when it’s bad the disappointment is also higher. With chicken if it’s dry you can add more sauce to make it more palatable however with a steak it’s like torture down to the last bite. The decor and surroundings was nice and clean but the club music didn’t really match the mood. Even though the steak wasn’t as expected it doesn’t represent whether the overall food is good or bad as it was just bad cut of meat. The chips and ratatouille were the redeeming factors and is what determined that I will be returning to So France to try other items on the menu. continue reading
