Signature Dishes
So for my friends' birthday we made a reservation for 7pm on a friday night. Took a train to Telok Ayer MRT walked for maybe 5 minutes and found ourselves at the entrance of Jerry's!I think for decor wise, Jerry's did pretty well trying to make it look like an old school diner. We walked in, and were escorted up to the second floor where there were more tables and chairs for bigger groups. So here's the star page of their menu. We were keen on trying basically everything. We had a vegetarian and two non-beef eaters in our party as well. But the menu had a vegetarian section, so we were all good!1. Fried Mushrooms $12.95++I believe that this has gotta be one of their top sellers. The mushrooms were so crispy and on the inside, the mushroom juice just flowed right out.We ordered 2 plates for this for a party of 7. I just couldn't get enough of it, with or without the sauce, it was a great starter.2. Buffalo Wings $14.95 for 6 (Level 1 and Level 2)So not all of us can tahan spicy, so level 1 it was! But even at level 1, I felt that it was abit too spicy for my liking.I was quite shocked to see so much chilli powder and flakes on the level 2 wings. Having lived in the US for 3 years, this is definitely not how buffalo wings are like. But hey! My friends enjoyed it, along with Level 1, I felt these were no were as good as their ribs, pulled pork and fried mushrooms. Not a thumbs up here for me.3. Full Slab of Ribs $32.95I love ribs! So I might be abit biased for this dish. The sweet smells of the BBQ sauce was just too much for me, I was the first one to dig in. However, I did notice myself reaching for the cups of cold water, after this. Probably because there's MSG in the sauce. The meat was juicy, tender and you could totally eat this without a knife. Just a fork WILL DO! I highly recommend you to order this to share in a group. 4. Pulled Pork Sandwich $14.95++I haven't had pulled pork sandwich since I had gotten back to Singapore. So I was glad to find this here! The bun wasn't as crispy as I had hoped it to be, but the pulled pork was fine. The sauce was abit too salty for me. For the $5 difference between the sandwich and the platter. I say just go for the sandwich, you get just as much meat in the sandwich too!5. Pulled Pork Platter $19.95++Since the sauce was seperate from the meat, the meat here felt abit drier, compared to the pulled pork sandwich that had the meat drenched in the sauce. As we got to the bottom of the platter, the pulled pork had left a layer of oil on the plate/on the lettuce bed. American comfort food is definitely NOT for the health conscious but that layer of oil was so disturbing!6. Caesar Salad $14.95++The salad was pretty okay, the dressing was evenly spread out, so no lettuce was dry! I enjoyed the croutons along with the hard boiled egg.All in all a great meal for sharing amongst friends. The staff were very friendly with helping me keep a slice of cake for my friends' birthday and also lighting up a candle for it.

A personal recommendation from a friend, i knew i had to try these place out! I had been craving for some good ribs for a long, long time and i really hoped to get it here! The first dish that we had while waiting for my brother was the portobello mushrooms. Although they weren't cheap, they were really, really juicy and very tasty! Definitely a must try! Next up were the buffalo wings! We only ordered the mild version as my mum was afraid it would be too spicy! It didn't have much kick to it, but going together with the sauce, it was pretty decent! Next up were the main courses! First up was the spring chicken! Nothing special about it though, but the sauce was alright! One dish that everyone should try should be the ox-tail stew! The stew was oh, so flavourful and it really packed a punch! You will definitely taste the amount of effort that was put into preparing the dish. It was really quite sad that we had only one slice of bread to accompany the stew!Last but definitely not the least, the ribs are up! They were really juicy and tasty. Also, they were so tender that they were really fall off the bone standard! Definitely enjoyable!

The ambience of this resto is quite nice, the place is quite cozzy.I ordered the set lunch that gives soup, main and coffee/tea/ice cream. They do not have strawberry ice cream, they only have choc or vanilla. The mushroom soup was nice. For the main I ordered baby back ribs, it was served with fries/baked potato, I chose fries. It came with some veggie too like carrots and broccoli. The ribs taste was so so.. not as fantastic as I thought it would be.The broccoli and carrots was quite hard. But my friend ordered the burger looks like the taste is much better than the ribs haha..

Located in Chinatown along Club St, Jerry's has this quaint and lovely ambience about it! It doesn't even feel like a place in Singapore, with cute American car plates and old Singapore photos lined along the walls. There is also a string of tiny light bulbs along the wall which gives the whole place a very homely feel! To locate this place, just walk towards Temple St/ Ann Siang Hill St area from Chinatown MRT and you will soon see Club St. It is about a 10mins walk. I like it a lot cos' it's very quiet and has this unique charm about it. Best place to invite your business associate to discuss about private matters (I see two tables of people discussing private business work) and also for couples! FoodI ordered the famous pulled-pork burger which costs about $17 after GST etc. The serving is so huge that even I couldn't finish it! I pride myself as a big eater, so... yup it's quite large. If your friends and you don't eat a lot, please consider sharing one portion. Then it won't be so expensive too There are fries, coleslaw as well as the burger itself. Every portion of the meal is very very delicious and good.Let's start with the seemingly unappetizing coleslaw. Coleslaw is the one that's always ignored and shunned by most people. However I stress that this coleslaw is one of the best I've ever eaten. The temperature of it is just perfect, a little chilled and the veggies are very fresh. It is also great to eat coleslaw when you feel like you're quite full, it will help you feel hungrier. The fries is crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside! Yums. It makes you look at fries in a different light altogether! However eat this only after you finish the burger, because this fills you up very quickly. The burger itself is quite like nothing I've ever tried. It is barbecued and you can taste & smell the barbecued goodness of the pork. Above that, the pork is super super super (X1000) tender and delicious to go along with the bread. However I saw that the pork was also quite badly 'burnt' by the barbecue effect - carcinogenic warning! But it was so yummy I decided to give it an exception ^_^ ServiceI think that the service is only so-so. Not particularly attentive or anything, but it is also sufficient to make the whole dining experience a very lovely one. AmbienceI love the seats! There's this back cushion that's so nice to lean against and I don't even feel like getting out of the seat after my meal. It's like I can lie in that armchair forever! There is also this TV showing Channel News Asia, so you will not run out of topics to talk about in case there's an awkward moment in your conversation with other diners. Even when you have nothing to talk about, start commenting on the wall decor which is so cute! I really like this place but the serving is really too large, so share it with a friend! Jerry's BBQ & Grill can be considered an old-timer amongst the gleaming new bars and restaurants. It's been a Club Street stalwart since 2003 and held steady amidst the high turnover of restaurants here. While there are a lot of people sitting outdoors along the corridor enjoying the alfresco heat and humidity, we much prefer the indoor air-conditioning. It's a much more comfortable way to enjoy our meal. Although the quality of the food has gone down slightly over the years, it's still relatively commendable. One of the more notable places to have American comfort food. Of course, the friendly, upbeat service and generous portions help loads. We had:1) Lamb Loin Chops ($21.95 for the weight watcher's portion of 2 cutlets): juicy and succulent, well marinated and not very gamey, and the mint jelly lent a nice refreshing tinge to the full-bodied ribs, while the rucola side salad provided a peppery lift to the dish. The weight watcher's portion was definitely something that would make for an appetizer sizing for big eaters2) Oxtail Stew ($21.95): delectable fall-off-the-bone texture, with chunks of softened carrots and potatoes thrown in together with sliced peppers for a oyster sauce based gravy. The Oriental style wasn't really to our liking, but it was alright
