The FoodI ordered the goose meat as well as goose liver rice. The goose meat was tender and the braised sauce was not too salty and delicious which make it very appetizing. The goose liver tasted very creamy and wholesome and the texture is just nice, not too hard nor dry. The braised sauce also goes very well with the white and fluffy rice and the chilli very nice and not too spicy. To be honest, there is not much significant difference between the goose meat and duck meat if you don't pay enough attention to it. We usually lunch here whenever we are in this area. There is always a queue and patience is the key to good foods so we always queued and waited. We always ordered braised duck for 2 person with 2 bowls of rice. Their braised duck is one of the best in Singapore. Though the braised sauce is a towards the salty side but very fragrant. We always requested to have a bowl of extra braised sauce or asked them to pour it over the plain rice. Their specially made chilli complemented the duck. continue reading

I have not tried this stall before, so I decided to try it as I saw quite a few tables having this and it looks quite yummy to me. I was there before the lunch crowd, so no problems with queueing as I got my dish fairly quickly. I ordered the braised duck rice and the braised tau kwa and two bowls of rice for the two of us. The braised duck is really good, it is soft and tender and it has absorbed the braised sauce, making it very tasty. I also love their chilli and I went back and asked for another plate because it just tastes so good with the rice and braised duck. continue reading

I absolutely love Heng Gi Goose And Duck Rice! their duck rice has very tasty dark sauce drizzled over the rice and duck, making it super flavourful. the duck is also very tender and soft. the rice is delicious! mouth watering and i felt like i could order for more rice! their soup which is served separately is good too! not too salty or has too much msg. I thought it is a great place to enjoy a plate of duck rice at an economical price. continue reading

This is still one of my favorite duck rice stall. I am a big fan of their nicely braised duck, their braised tau kwa and their braised egg. Everything is good here. Their sauce (lor) is a little salty but very fragrant. I always asked for a small bowl of the sauce and have it along with the white rice. The duck meat was rather tender and flavorful, it is still one of the best that i ever eaten. Their chilli is really good too. It might look hot but the spiciness is pretty well-balanced, at least it is so for me. Queue is expected during lunch and everything is likely to be sold out by 2pm. Recommended. continue reading
