This is my very first time visit Arena country club. Quite surprise that is a PastaMania there, so we decided to give it a try. This is one of the most horrible meal I had. Maybe that explains why there is nobody there.First, they served me with the drink I ordered: peanut ice cream cola float! I think I made the wrong decision to choose peanut butter ice cream, cause the both combination does not blend well together. It only tasted nice individually. Hence, I quite of regret ordering this. Then come the carbonara, which is equally disappointing. It was cold and too cheesy. I got a little too full when i finished my food. Therefore, I only recommend this restaurant for people who hate to queue or in a rush when they are in Jurong area. continue reading

Waking up to a refreshing and Haze-less weather of Singapore, my family and I decided to stay indoors and get cozy, snuggling up in our beds. Big brother was in-charge of food, so we ordered in... PASTA MANIA!For more information on how to order in, go here: http://www.pastamaniadelivery.sg/Delivery Surcharge: $3.00Here is what we ordered:Turkey Bacon Aglio: $8.30+ (Wholemeal Spaghetti: +$0.30)A health-conscious individual would think twice before loading on their carbs, but thankfully Pasta mania offers wholemeal spaghetti as its' base now. While it was a bit cold to taste by the time it reached my house, the spaghetti remained wholesome and wasn't too salty nor bland, and it felt that the turkey bacon was lending its' support by oozing out oil from its' fats, spurting into the pasta itself. I would order this against Creamy Chicken, because I could finish it up to the very end. It wasn't fantastic, but it was edible!Basil Chicken Aglio: $7.90+ (Wholemeal Spaghetti: +$0.30)We shared this and I felt the amount was lesser than the Turkey Bacon Aglio's, which makes me wonder if they actually do weigh their pasta properly. There weren't enough Basil chicken to go around, I felt like I was eating plain spaghetti instead, and the scent of the pasta was quite tranquil and faint. This could improve by tweaking a little, I couldn't tell it was Basil Chicken at all.7" Hawaiian (Regular): $9.70Personally, I believe Pasta Mania's Pizza is quite well-done because of its' crust! It tasted almost like what I would taste in Europe, with little fillings on top but yet unbelievably delicious. The 7" is quite small for an almost $10 pizza, I wish they could make it bigger because no one can get full by eating a whole pizza. No one, ever.We spent a total of $29.50 for delivery, and I can hardly say anything about the service because there was minimal contact. Hopefully, the delivery-person could smile more when he greets us But that may be too much to ask for, isn't it? continue reading

FoodHaving myself near the CNY mood, I'm lacking of idea where to have my dinner. We decided to head to Arena Country club's fast food in the first place but since pasta mania is there. We have our choice changed. We ordered the chef recommended pasta which was indicated with a star on its menu. Pasta mania has 3 choices to make our meal a combo. Choice A, B and C at a listed cost below. For myself, I have topped up with B at $4.20 with Minestrone soup and my friend's calm chowder. A: $5.50Soup, garlic bread and drink (16oz soft drink)B: $4.20Soup and drink (16oz soft drink)C: $3.90Garlic bread and drink (16oz soft drink)TURKEY BACON CHEESY CRUMBLE $8.10Turkey bacon in homemade cheese sauce topped with parmesan crumble. Overall it is quite ok with the choice of my pasta. However, having too much of cheese and pasta makes one very full after the meal. I love the crumble though, not too powdery and goes well with the turkey bacon!CREAMY CHICKEN $9.10Chicken in delicious cream sauce. Nothing much about this creamy dish, abit dry and not the best I have eaten. ServiceService is good. Food ordering is a breeze and when you are done with your meal and left the place. They will thank you and ask us come again! Also, I am amazed by how they expanded their business hours (delivery service) to 3am daily. Whao!AmbienceIt was quiet which i find it nice. Not that crowded as it was located in somewhere near Tuas. The outlet I guess is opened mainly to cater its delivery service.PriceReasonably priced.Recommendation / TipsI will recommend this place if you want to avoid the crowd. It is good for studying also. continue reading

Did not plan to have dinner at Arena but the weather made us decide otherwise. The carafe of honey lemon jelly drink ($4.20) was refreshing & soothed my parched throat. The crayfish & clam pasta ($14.90) that I had ordered was served attractively plated, pasta heaped into a mound with the crayfish perched on top. I had opted for fusili which is supposed to absorb the tomato gravy better than penne. However the pasta sauce was a tad too diluted while the fusili had gone past al dente to be just a little too soft. There was a fair amount of clams and the crayfish meat was firm, so the key ingredients in the dish were cooked well. My companion had the chicken mushroom pizza which was acceptable but unremarkable - we were not fans of bready pizza dough & would have preferred the Italian style thinner crust pizza. Overall a satisfying meal for two. continue reading

My favourite flavour is the basil chicken pizza. It was supposed to be spicy, but it proves no cheek to us. There was merely a light tingling sensation but that all. The crust of the pizza is think crust and very crispy. As a whole, it is one of the nicest pizza I have tasted! I simply love how they make it, somehow the chicken is marinated till quite sweetish. The pizza bread is very crispy yet thin. The medium size portion is mostly suitable for 2 to 3 people. continue reading
