Pass by this restaurant during lunch hour and decided to settle down here for my lunch.  Bought the ginger chicken rice.at $5 and a can of coke light at $1.20.  The chicken meat quite tender and the portion was consider generous as well.  Filled with the strong fragrant from the ginger cooked in it.  The added spring onion also has enhanced the taste too.  However plain rice was abit too hard in texture and alittle cold.  The restaurant is quite quiet and not much people can be seen here. Service was quite friendly and polite as well.  continue reading

I came with my mum & sister for my birthday celebration,I read review of people saying the food was not nice, but mum was quite interested as she said saw on tv that is recommended by "auntie lucy" so went to try We was there about 6pm,there's not much to choose from actuallyWhen we went in,they just asked us want which flavour of soup but never explain to us the pricing .....thour we can choose 3soup base but the table is very small & they only open 1 steamboat pot, after payment then we saw that actually can request to open both steamboat,After 1hour later, when we was almost full & going to pay bill,we noticed that they actually have more food coming up,like fried thai tofu, sweet sour pork......Those fried "mantou" was nice but very cold, they never warm it,pudding was sweet like hell, for dinner after tax,1 person was about $25 which i think totally don't worth the priceOverall i rate 2/10 continue reading

Once again with my family, we went to 'The Central' at Clarke Quay. We shopped around and planned to find a situable restaurant to eat. As we went up to Level 4, my mother saw the ' Aunty Lucy' Statue. We saw the advertisement in the televsion and thus made our way to have this steamboat Their style of having the steamboat food was the similar to Sakae Sushi Buffet. Their food was place on the conveyor belt and I find it abit unhygiene. Some of the vegetables end was seen out of the plate, and I assumed it must have been touching the surface for the conveyor belt quite some time. We were allowed to choose up to 4 soups on the steamboat. We chose three types of soup based, their soup was quite tasty Overall, the food tasted normal and choices were limited as well. The service was bad as they do not have enough waitress/waiter to serve us. I saw some of them were talking to each other happily at one corner and they dont really seem like working at all :C The only thing that I like was their restaurant as it was scruptulously clean. continue reading

I bet this has to be the worst steamboat I ever tried.Fascinated by their TV advertisement endorsed by 'Aunty Lucy', my friends suggested here as they've never tried rotary steamboat concept before. It was proven to be a wrong move.Food: Nowhere near fresh. A small crab and some frozen scallop was given as well as come better cut beef & pork for shabu shabu. All customer was entitled to only one serving and the portion is really pathetic for 3 pax. Cooked food was cold and hard, as thou as it just defroze from the freezer.Drinks are the usual kind of cordial mix.Nevermind about that.Hygiene: Worst of all! All the food, raw and cooked are placed side by side on the rotary. Imagine a plate of bloody pig liver side by side with a slice of cake and sweet & sour pork - WITHOUT any covering. The hygiene level failed badly. As expected - I went on a diarrhea in the middle of the night and it's proven that there is something wrong with the food over there. It cost $85 for 3pax. Simply overpriced. They wouldnt last long, if they continue the way it is despite their media publicity. continue reading

Went with my girlfriends to the outlet @ Central. We reached about 7pm and was told that the signature cooked side dishes (the duck and the noodles) are not available. We stil chose to sit around the convey belt, hoping for sumthing warm n nice as we were too hungry.Choices of soup base to choose from. Every 2 person allowed to choose 3 soup base. We chose tomyum, seafood and herbal.Tomyum soup base nt too tomyum-ish, neither spicy nor sour enuf to our taste. A bit salty thou, and super oily. we hav to scoop that layer of chili oil so we wun end up drinking it instead of the soup. Seafood and Herbal taste almost alike. infact they smell and look alike too.. a bit too blandthe ingredients and cooked dishes:Both the cooked and raw food are served on the belt. I wanted to hav sum fruits while waiting for the soup to boil. but the sight of the cut-fruits alongside with the raw meat changed my mind. the cooked fish fillet n fried stuff are on the belt as well. nt sure how long the plates hav been rotating cos the 'Cooked' food taste like cold-plate. the fried stuff are sloggy n some burnt.nt much choices of the ingredients. we've seen lots of lots of plates of raw meat, nt marinated n looked nt really fresh, n so we gave the meat a skip.the choices of veges are quite limited as well. Overall: Overpriced for nt so high grade food continue reading
