I was here for a quick lunch with my partner. We decided to have curry rice from this stall. We ordered curry vegetable, steamed meat and sweet & sour pork and asked to have curry sauce over the rice. The dishes tasted alright though not as nice as those famous curry rice stalls. The curry vegetable cooked to the right texture with mild spiciness. The steamed meat was ok but the texture a little hard. The sweet & sour pork tasted average.

This stall at the Food Republic @ NEX is always busy.There is a constant stream of customers that patronise it.There is a wide selection of dishes from meat and fish to an array of greens and vegetables galore.The food is hot and fresh and one will be spoilt for choice.Very often, I'm stuck about what to order.We ordered two different combinations - meat + vegetables & only vegetables.The first set comprised Rice with Chicken, Chicken curry, lady's fingers and leafy vegetables (''sawi'').The second set comprised Rice with Soft tofu, long beans, potato and leafy vegatables (''sawi'') with chicken gravy.What I like about this stall is the speed with which the staff work to clear the crowd.However, they are careful to recommend when asked. As I don't take pork or beef, I needto be sure that the vegetables I choose do not contain them.The food is freshly cooked and has wholesome home-cooked taste.There is not too much salt or MSG and it is a healthy choice to eat here.The chicken was juicy and tender and all the vegetables were not overcooked and retained the flavour.I'm always hesitant to eat green vegetables at these stalls because the vegetables are often not well cleaned and not properly cooked. Over here, this was not the case.The portions are pretty small, so the pricing is a little expensive. This Food Republic branch is spacious and despite the busy hours, it is usually possible to get a seat fast.The lighting and seating concept make this branch a pleasant place to dine in.Will definitely be back at this stall for more

The mixed rice here is really good. The rice is cooked nicely and the dishes are fresh and attractive. There is deep fried fish, various types of tofu, various types of egg, some chicken dishes and lots of vegetable dishes. this is a very popular stall and the queue is very long. The service is polite and fast. The vegetables are not very fresh as some of the vegetables on my plate were yellow with worm holes in them! But otherwise it was pretty tasty and the serving is generous.

I was again at NEX after buying grocery at the NTUC Fairprice supermarket. I decided to have dinner at Food Republic located at the basement of NEX. The displayed by the stall Pot Luck Curry Rice looks tempting so i ordered a plate of curry rice. I order curry veg, sweet and sour pork and steam meat. The curry veg taste good but is a bit spicy. The sweet and sour pork pieces are small and tasted a bit hard. The steam meat on the other hand taste great.

Wanted to redeem the voucher acquired but the noodle shop has already ceased operation. We have got to look for an alternative thus decided to have lunch in this food court for the first time.Ordered steamed minced meat, curry vegetable and sweet & sour porks for $4.20. All the dishes were nicely cooked. The curry vegetable were soft but not meshy with an aromatic curry taste. The minced meat steamed well and rather soft too. The minced meat used was pretty lean which is good for healthy reason. The sweet & sour pork fried well and coated in a well-balanced sweet & sour sauce. The rice tasted good with the generous amount of curry sauce poured over it. Though not the best curry rice that i ever eaten but this one is not too bad. Recommended.
