After yoga lesson, we decide to come here for breakfast. There is a on going promotion for selected items ordered during breakfast, there is a 50% discount on coffee and tea. I order a egg croissant ($3.90) and topup another $2 to add in salmon to it. As for drink, I have a cup of latte ($4.90). It is total $8.35 after the discount. The dining area is quite warm and there is only 1 air cooler is on which is facing another customer behind us. It turns out that there is no air-con by the NEX mangement before 10am. We are like sweating throughout the meal. The croissant is quite huge but tastes average. The latte is barely warm and there is no distinct layer between the coffee and milk.Overall quite disappointed with the place due to no air-con. continue reading

This Swissbake outlet at Nex is very huge and spacious. Service here is also friendly and fast as well. Have bought their Smoked Chicken Caesar Salad back to have it as my light lunch. It is priced at $6.50 which is consider quite affordable. Chicken breast meat is firm and tender in texture and goes well with the fresh crunchy salad. The toasted mini garlic bread is very appetizing and goes very well with the salad. continue reading

Bought home a loaf of this healthy Granola Muesli Bread from this bakery. First time trying it and really fall in love with it, especially on its lots of healthy contents in this bread. Firstly no sugar, no fats & no eggs have been used in it, so I can be very assured I am having a really healthy bread. The testure is quite thick and firm, with lots of sultana, fruits and grains mixed in it. Every mouthful is so good and satisfying. At $5.90 per loaf, is really value for money. The shop is very clean and spacious, and service was friendly. continue reading

Decided to treat myself to the newly introduced (double?) chocolate muffin from swissbake today, after a really long day of studying. It has a more appealing name than 'chocolate muffin' but for the life of me I can't recall it now.Anyhow, it was R-E-A-L-L-Y good. Better than I'd expected. It was fluffy, decadent and all about chocolate. It was topped with substantially-sized chocolate chunks and has a molton, gooey chocolate centre that was not too sweet. Perfect treat for chocolate lovers. My only criticism is that it could be more moist and dark chocolate chunks could be used instead of the rather bland chunks that were used. Also, it would probably have tasted heavenly after microwaving.Altogether, a satisfying tea-time treat that's not too painful for the wallet.Price: $2.90 continue reading

Sweet breakfast pick for the weekends!I love having anything chocolate Bought the Chocolate Danish Stick from the Swissbake at Nex Outlet. This is a very classy French feel bakery; it’s great to step into this shop with load of breads and pastry. The smell of freshly baked goodies is very refreshing For the price of $2.40, the pastry is quite worth it as the portion is quite big.I feel that the taste is not too sweet and overwhelming.I like to bite into the crust of the Danish Stick, very crispy. It’s baked to a nice crispy golden brown shade, the reason that I’m attracted to this yummy pastry!Do try out Swissbake bread if you've have not, you wouldn't regret with their wide variety choice of bread continue reading
