continue reading

Today I am in the area for meeting and decide to come here for dinner. Although it is not very crowded, I have waited quite awhile to be served. It could be the fact there is only 2 staffs working in the dining area. To make thing easy, I just order the first item featured on the menu which is Today's Special. Today's Special is Potato Soup. It costs $11.50++. Although the building is quite empty at this hour as it is past knock off hour, there is still a number of workers from nearby construction site coming in for dinner. Iced water is served here. As it is a Korean restaurant, side dishes are also served. There is kimchi, dried fish, marinated bean sprouts and marinated mushroom, which all taste not bad.The soup is served in a claypot with a metal bowl of pipping hot rice. The soup is very thick and creamy. Must have been cooked for a long time in order to have this texture. The pork ribs taste flavourful and tender. There is also huge chunks of potato which are also quite soft. Overall it is a delicious and filling meal. But service has much to improve on. Due to the lack of staff, I could see a number of unclear tables. continue reading

This was my second visit to this Korean Restaurant. It is conveniently located at the One North circle line. This spacious restaurant offers a wide range of authentic Korean cuisine, one of the famous dishes has to be the beef hotpot. I tried that previously and this time round I only ordered the Kimchi Ramyeon ($7). The kimchi ramen is huge in portion, with quite a lot of kimchi and well-marinated spicy chicken strips. I love the soup broth, not overly spicy, but with a hint of sourness, appetizing and comforting especially on a rainy day. They also offer free flow of appetizers, inclusive kimchi, beans, fried ikan bilis etc. A good munch while waiting for your mains. continue reading
