To patrons those who appreciate pig’s innards, Kway Chap is something scrumptious delight among hawker food. Past days, the purpose of this dish was to minimize the wastage as every part of pig can be eat deliciously if soaking into braising broth. Hidden in a humble hawker centre, this stall was actually quite famous at Toa Payoh Area. Well-maintained and clean, ladyboss was capable in taking care the stall and preparing the food.In fact, I was not really fancy about the dish and only accepted Pork Intestine at most. My plate came with assorted ingredients such as pork belly, fish cake, tau pok, braised egg and of course intestine. Pieces of Kway Teow absorbed fully from delectable gravy, everything was in softly smooth texture. Steaming hot bowl was comforting, certainly addictive treat without any greasiness. $3.80 per set, the price was pretty affordable for my succulent lunch. continue reading

This shop sells very good braised duck rice and kway chap and the chilli sauce is also very tasty. The braised duck is so tasty that when i ask the stall owner whether they sell a whole duck, she told me yes at $36 a duck which is very expensive but again the duck is braised to a beautiful brown colour and the meat is so soft ,tender and juicy.Had the kway chap at $3.50 and the extra plate of duck meat at $3 and went back to ask for a bowl of porridge since i still got so much ingredients left, and to my surprise they don't sell duck porridge here but plain or yam rice. continue reading
