I ordered the Wanton mee at $3. The noodles are springy and tasty and the fat lean char siew taste shiok with a bit of charred taste. Normally, i will look out for the sauce and chili when eating wan ton mee and this stall meet up to my expectations. Sauce is not overly salty and have taste a bit sweet. As for the wanton, the meat inside is fresh and does not taste soggy or overcooked. This stall also sell chicken feet & pork ribs noodle and will try the next time. Overall, price is reasonable and decent portion hence is a must try for all wanton mee lovers ! continue reading

It was the market I visited the most for my lunch, there was a lot choices of food. Today I am going to try out something new. This stall located nearby staircase, it was obvious to be seen. I noticed many Awards obtained, the noodles were definitely good taste. Several choices as you can pick from the frontage. The price range was from $2.50 to $3.50.The noodle was chewy indeed, green in colour, I have no idea what made it to be green. Came along with a few pieces of Char Siew, Veggies, Wanton and soup, the portion for me was actually not enough. Nevertheless, the taste still considered nice. Not greasy or oily, No MSG as well I guessed, I finished it up within 5 minutes. $3.00 for my noodles, it was not too expensive. continue reading

I ordered the special green wanton mee. It is called Jade Noodles on the menu. The noodles was chewy and came with quite a few piecea of char siew, 3 wanton and some vegetables. The char siew were quite flavourful but slightly dry. The wanton were also average only but quite big in size. i think the main selling points are the special green noodles as well as the relatively low price for the decent portion. continue reading

This is the biggest selling point: green wanton mee. Looks like the cold soba noodles in Japanese restaurants but this one is our localised version. Unfortunately, it does not taste as nice as it looks. It is rather soggy and I have still yet to figure out what is the taste of the 'green' colour. Ah well. The char siew was too dry and could really have been much matter. continue reading
