This store sells kway chap and pig's organ soup, but what I like best is their Yam Rice, its full of old time favor. You can find in the rice is typically large slice of yam, mushroom, pork fat and dry shrimp. Ingredients one will find in a dumpling.Whenever I decided to order the pig's organ soup, if the yam rice is not ready. I would rather not go ahead with the order. Pig's organ soup is brew with herbs, salted veges that I finds go well with the yam rice. continue reading

There was a famous Kway Chap stall in Toa Payoh West Food Centre. When I was there, there was no queue. Hence I ordered a single person set.The appearance of the Kway Chap looked well braised and flavourful, but the taste was of lesser braised flavour. The braised pork was fatty and tender. The big intestine was clean inside, soft and not chewy. The preserved cabbage was surprising sweet, not too salty.Overall, I would still prefer those Kway Chap with thick flavour of braised sauce. continue reading

I settled my lunch with soupy foodie. I was walking around until I saw this stall. Actually the stall provided quite a number of pig’s parts, such as Pork Belly, Pig Stomach, Pig Liver, Pig Intestine, Meatball and Pork Ribs. I surrendered to those organs, I ordered mine with sliced LeanPork, Minced Pork and Ribs only.Consisting of a clear soup and pork along with veggies, it was considered a balanced diet. The broth was savory, I guessed it was made by boiling pork bones for many hours. Peppery soup went very well with pork without any smell, I did enjoy it. $3.50 for a Pig Innermost part of soup with plain rice, it was reasonable. continue reading

I was a short queue when I reached at lunch time. I had to wait about 10 min to 15 min for my food. I ordered the set for 1 at 3.50 which i think is quite reasonable. The ingredients were quite fresh and quite a good variety but i thought it could be more flavourful. I love the chilli sauce, goes well with the pork slices and intestine. The kway was smooth and soup was tasty. I will definitely come back again, strongly recommend for kway chap lovers! continue reading

This stall not only sells Kway Chap but also sells Pig Organ Soup. I tried their Kway Chap previously and was not too impressed by it. This time, I decided to try their Pig Organ Soup and added $1 for their yam rice. The soup was quite light, with loads of pig organs, not bad! Their yam rice was quite QQ, with small cube of yam bites but portion was quite small for me. The waiting time during lunch took about 15mins when I went. continue reading
