The last time I visited Ice Cold Beer was at least 4 years back, just once. Not a usual fan of drinking beer, but tonight I decided to chill out here with some new friends. The interior is dim but bustling with happy crowds indulging in their light bar snacks and over 60 types of bottled and draft beers. The beers were served icy-cold from unique ice tanks. Music was a tad loud, but that was the purpose of bars / pubs right? So that people could lose themselves in the music and drink, and not having to talk much to each other maybe. We were a large group and had our cozy corner on level 2 - converted into Stellar Bar - a showcase bar complete with warm earth tones, soft lightings, long bar counter and large mirrors. We were seated on comfortable black couches while some of us took turns at the pool tables or mingled over drinks and nibbles. The Chicken Wings (SGD $18.00 for a dozen) were what I heard people talk about constantly - we had a few baskets of that, taking turns to order and contribute. The skin was crispy, and the chicken was well-marinated so it tasted delicious.Next, the Top Shell (SGD $16.00) - rather succulent and chewy textFinally, the Fish Balls - big in size and rather crispy skin, served with slices of cucumber - another nice snacker to pair with drinks. For more detailed information and photos, please feel free to visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2014/06/chilling-out-at-ice-cold-beer.html continue reading

I think I’m getting my beer belly from all the drinking and eating at Bars. We went Ice Cold Beer and I ordered Prawn Paste Chicken Wing, Hot and crispy fried chicken wings with tasty strong prawn paste marination this wings are succulent and toothsome. I like to dip my wings with their sweet and mild chili. Calamari were disappointing as it was literally oozing oil with every bite. And it’s overcooked and rubbery. Wasn't setback by the bad tasting calamaris, we still drink, chat and party till late that night. continue reading

FoodOur group has ordered, Prawn Paste Chicken Wings , fried calamari rings.Chicken wings come second in the top selling dish after beer. Not too oily, juicy, tender and its cripsy enough. Calamari rings are big and fully battered - not too thick and not too thin, just nice. Thin crust and yummy Pizza is one of it's specialty too.Nothing to brag about the Hotdog bun except its big and filling for one!ServiceStaff are friendly and helpful.AmbienceLove the settings around this shop house - quite woody and homely feeling. Relaxing place and everyone is friendly. A very crowded place during weekends.PricePricing is quite standard for bars.Recommendation / TipsGood place for chill out but parking nearby may be a hassle during weekends. continue reading

Well, coming from me, whose not a fried food person, and the chicken wings at ice cold beer is fantastic! However, the place is always crowded and difficult to get a table. The only seat i always managed to get is the bar counter which is difficult to have a conversation, and its weird eating our pizzas and fried chicken wings in silence. The pizza crusts were thin and i will definitely go back again even though i am not a fan of beer. continue reading

Decided to hang out with friends at this place. We ordered their pizza and the chicken wings. Their pizzas were good, the crust was thin and crispy and savory. This is a must-try item if you like thin crust pizzas. Ice Cold Beer pizza was not bad. The prawns were fresh and "crunchy". But this pizza was not as savory as the salami pizza. As for the chicken wings, they are well marinated and juicy. The skin was very crispy and meat was tender. It has the prawn paste taste, we guessed it was marinated with prawn paste. This goes very well with the beers. continue reading
