Whenever I feel like having lots of sushi, especially my favourite Salmon Roe flavour, Sushi express at Citylank mall is always my first choice. For merely $1.50 per plate, is very value for money. The sushi rice is very soft and at the right texture which is not too soft nor moist. The salmon roe is very fresh and with no stingy smell on it. Dip into the wabsabi with Japanese sauce, taste really good healthy. Restaurant is abit squeezy but still quite cooling. Service staffs are friendly too. continue reading

I met up with two of my friends for a sushi lunch date at sushi express! Love to look at the sushis going rounds and rounds on the conveyor belt. For me, a must-order whenever I dine in at a sushi chain/restaurant is their salmon sashimi! The second and third favourites are the lobster salad and octopus ;) I also like the octopus but the lobster salad sushi here is disappointing as it tasted quite bland. The scallop is nice! And so is the squid! We ordered a miso soup to share and it is quite flavourful. As we just kept taking the sushi from the conveyor belt, I can't remember the names of some of the sushi like the ones above but the first one is not nice and the second one is good! It sort of tasted like tuna fish. The third one is also nice! We tried other sushis as well and the above are just some of them ;) Ending off our sushi feast with a dessert, the mango pudding! I like the texture of it and the just right mango taste. There are also other desserts like brownie and even a red velvet cheesecake! Sushi Express may not serve the best sushis but it is priced very reasonably and worth going as all their plates are at $1.50 each irregardless of the type of sushi! continue reading

I think it depends on your luck, I was there when the queue was extremely short even though it was around 1.30pm, waited for about 5-10minutes before I got a seat; the next moment, the queue got so long. Every plate is $1.50++, even the giant scallop, prawns, sashimi, etc. very value for money. I had the surf clam, scallops, prawns, lobster salad, and chuka. Bill came up to $15 for 2. Oh, green tea is free flow and FOC as well, a bonus. continue reading

I think this must be one of the cheapest sushi bar in town. Everything here is priced at $1.50. On top of that, there are free wasabi, green tea and ginger. With the idea of having a fast and cheap sushi meal thus there wasn't much effort being put into the deco. All you can see here are just seats ,sushi bar counters and conveyor belts. Although it's named Sushi express, I have encountered several time that there is a significant waiting time for certain food to be out. On top of that, the plastic covers used to cover the food are being recycled. If the above didn't concern you, then just tuck in and enjoy the food. Food here are relatively valued for money and certain sushi e.g Seared Salmon Belly sushi, Scallop, Lobster salad sushi and cream puffs are considered very tasty. Do give it a try if you don't mind to queue. continue reading

The first thing that it has attracted everyone has got to be the price!$1.50 for all is such an attraction such that there's always a crowd Me and my friend queued like 20mins before we got a seat! And being the sushi lovers we are, we immediately targeted the salmon! She got the grilled ones, for people like my friend who doesn't really like raw sashimi and for me the yummy fresh salmon sushi!!! Having our main purpose accomplished, we left after eating like 10 plates or so!Cheap bargain standards for town area makan continue reading
