There's many stalls selling chap chye peng at Albert Centre Food Centre but this particular stall attract more crowd than the other. I decided to join in the queue as I didn't know what to packet for lunch. There's actually 3 sets for you to choose from (and many other side dishes if you want to pick them yourself) but I decided to go with the set 1, which consist of a curry drumstick, luncheon meat and cabbage. I add another serving of potato as my 4th side. The taste of the curry chicken is very nice! tasted just like what I have ate back when I was young. The potato tasted good and not salty. Overall for the price I've paid, it is consider very cheap and filling. continue reading

I like the curry chicken drumstick that is fleshy and tender and goes very well with the savory curry gravy. Filled with a distinctive home-cooked flavour, the fried brocolli and cauliflower and the egg omelette certainly left a good impression. If you are in favour of a simple economic rice that is value for money and satisfying for dinner, come down to Bugis and try Yummy Rice Shop economic rice today. continue reading

Cheap and good economic rice stall found! The serving per dish is usually generous and the price is very affordable thus explained why there is always a queue in front of this stall. The cooking is good and with different varieties of dishes to choose from. Ingredients used are very fresh. Their fish dishes are always one of my favourite. I paid $4.40 for a piece of fish, tofu with salted egg & minced meat and fried egg with mixed vegetables. I usually paid more for fish when i ordered from most stalls. You can help yourself to the belachan or sambal chilli if you like some to go along. This is one of the nicest and cheapest economic rice stalls in Singapore. Highly recommended. continue reading
