Visit www.umakemehungry.com for more reviews.I have been eying for Seng Huat's Pig Trotter Bee Hoon for quite sometime but I'm always carried away by this thought especially when I'm so spoil by the selections in Pasir Panjang. Just today, I took effort to remind myself that I must patronise this stall, unfortunately I have learn that Pig Trotter Bee Hoon only available after 5pm. Queue piled up in split seconds after I joined in. There is only 1 wok whereby the lady can only fry one type of dish at a time in batch, thus it doesn't really matter who comes in the queue first at times. If the lady is currently frying Hokkien Mee, it may takes a while if you are ordering Hokkien Mee as the next batch she cooked maybe Fried Bee Hoon, it depends.Seems like I had make a good choice. The first mouthful of the white vermicelli had hit me at the right spot.Though lightly flavored, it eludes a distinct fragrance and sweetness from the egg with a less greasy manner. Moist and tangy with lime juice squeezed over. What's more you will notice some crunchy pork lards in between bites. Nice!Though advocated for their old style of Hokkien Mee, I must admit that I am not that into old school afterall. Given the choice, I would prefer ordering their White Bee Hoon instead as it irks me a little with the yellow noodle taste even though moisture consistency was perfect. With its taste bench-marked on the White Bee Hoon, Im quite confident that the plate of fried pig trotter bee hoon should fit my style. Nevermind for not having the dish today, I will be back soon! continue reading

The taste is still unique...Intense prawn and pork gravy stirred and stewed into yellow and white noodles sinks in the taste to every stand...Fresh prawns, chunks of 3 layer pork, bits of vegetables and their delicious spicy chilli with kalamansi lime completes the taste, Surprisingly, it wasn't greasy, which is characteristic of this local dish...Delicious, must try...Thumb up!! continue reading

The popular hokkien mee stall at Pasir Panjang Food Centre does not open on Sunday and Monday. Little will u know that the stall also dish out the traditional pig trotter beehoon. The infused flavour of the pig trotter with the beehoon was very fragrant. The beehoon was also cooked perfectly with a nice moist. However the price tag is a bit pricey minimium at $8 dollar. continue reading

The most important part of a plate of a Hokkien Mee is not just the noodle but the delicious prawn. The prawns served by Seng Huat Hokkien Mee is fresh, delicious and sweet too ! The tiger prawns were really great and make the dish even better! What's special about this dish is that they uses bee hoon noodles instead of the usual yellow noodle w kuey teowthis is mainly because of the convenience of using bee hoon however, it taste great with bee hoon ! continue reading

I am surprised that no one has reviewed this yummy Fried Hokkien Mee yet!Well, for starters, this stall had a long queue when I went late afternoon one Saturday. This surely must be a good sign that the food is good or reasonably priced, and it did not disappoint. The stock used to cook this was thick and redolent of prawns. They were generous with the pork and prawns and the sambal was delicious It was a huge plate of scrumptious noodles for $3 so it was well-worth the queue continue reading
