Since we are nearby, we decide to drive over to buy our favourite char siew bao from Tanjong Rhu Pau & Confectionery.. this is one of our favourite char siew bao as the skin is not too thick yet the skin is soft and nice. The char siew filling is sweet and the char siew is chewy and well marinated.. priced at $7 for 10 mini pau packed in a box, it is definitely worth buying and try.. but it can be quite difficult to find parking lot sometimes... continue reading

This is chicken bao from Tanjong Rhu! I love chicken very much and inside beside chicken there is 1/4 hard boiled egg too. The combination was just nice. The chicken baos here are smaller than what we are used to but are just nice for me.Beside chicken they have various bao too... there is one which call yuan yang which is consists of white lotus and red bean paste and inside they wrap a salted in too there was yummy too! Freshly made daily, besides baos they also sell other stuffs too Their shop is along the road so is kinda hard to find parking usually we will quickly buy and return to our car! continue reading

Tanjong rhu paus are super duper tiny in size. They are probably about 1/3 of a regular sized pau, yet they cost almost the same price. They cost $7 for a box of 10 tiny paus. The paus have good flavour though, having nice fluffy skin that is smooth and tasty, and moist char siew filling with smokey flavour. The pau is delicious to eat when steamed fresh so it is still hot. Highly recommended to try continue reading

My grandmother bought us a box of paus from tanjong rhu today. These paus come in sets of ten per box and cost 7 dollars about for one box. Each pau is tiny but it is packed with flavour. The filling is saucy and smoky and the taste of the char siew filling is very savoury and slightly sweet. The skin is supply and smooth and is really good. Though tiny, the paus really pack a lot of punch! continue reading

My sister bought back for us & i find that their pau was pretty goodthe skin is just the right texture. It's tender enough, yet not so soft that it doesn't withstand being re steamed. The char siew filling is also a perfect blend of savoury & sweet, they’re quite generous with the meat chunks, instead of just skimping on meat Overall i rate 8/10 continue reading
