After passing by this place a few time and finally went to Meathaven Restaurant & Bar on Friday night - around 730pm. In any case, my partner had the kurobuta pork belly & the mushroom soup and i had half slab of the baby back ribs with baked potato and some greens plus a jug of Asahi Premium.I like the way my ribs has the smokey aroma and you can feel that the meat was REAL smoked well instead of being boiled and baked before serving in some restaurants. There were different sauces with their own distinct taste on the ribs and I personally would prefer more sauce to go with as the meat was slightly dry. Thumbs up for the Kurobuta pork as it was surprisingly meaty and juicy, my partner loved it very much. And the mushroom soup was great too. Real mushroom bits in it & was empty before I could taste it again.This place was relatively new as you can see from the settings. The alfresco area was neat and cosy in the night as we shifted outdoor for more beers. Next time I have a hankering for ribs, I'll be back- it was really quite a nice experience and I like the service very much.
