It had been a long time since my group met up with our teacher, so we decided to have dinner together. My teacher likes to try food from different places, so we went to Sady's Diner at Toa Payoh Central Community Club, where we knew she would have not visited before. We called before we went to ensure there were enough places for the 5 of us. The restaurant wasnt very crowded when we went there though. The staffs there were very attentive, poured us water immediately when they handed us the menu. Prices listed are quite reasonable too. Waiting time for the food was quite alrite, and the food all arrived piping hot. The first to arrive were the chicken wings, we ordered 2 kinds, the spicy one and the BBQ one. The spicy one was very oily, but at the same time, very nice. Haha! The BBQ one tasted quite normal to me, maybe bcos i ate the spicy one 1st and my tongue was numb. One thing for sure though, both types had crispy skin, tender meat, which is wat we want our chicken wings to b like. After that, the nachos came. The cheese was hot! Freshly melted, nice. The nachos were crispy too. There were some ingredients inside the melted cheese, think we were supposed to eat it together too, but i just ate the cheese only, hehe. The quesadillas were the best (which i feel), though my friend didnt like it. For this dish, you have to eat it hot. Not so nice when it's cold alrdy since the wrap wont have that 'bite' to it. You can choose the fillings while ordering, they have vegetarian, chicken, beef and fish kind i tink, but we ordered the chicken. There were some chopped tomatoes, chicken and melted cheese in it, something like a cheesy wrap. There are also some dips that came with it, so you can actually dip the quesadillas into each of them too. Though i like mine without any dressings. :XNext came something which i tink is fajitas (though I'm not sure). You had to wrap the chicken with the wrap yourself and dip it with the dips that accompanied the dish. It was something like the quesadillas, just that there wasnt melted cheese and the chicken was cooked in a sauce. This dish was quite ok to me, i like the quesadillas better (though this is kinda biased as i love cheese). Haha. The last dish (I dun know what it was called) came with something like a chicken cutlet and a bowl of mashed potato. The chicken was drenched with melted cheese and the skin was real crisp. The mashed potato was very soft and nice too. Would patronize this place again, the staffs are friendly and the ambience is nice too. Presentation of the foods are also nice (as seen from the photos). A great place for people to chill out after a hard day at work. continue reading
