For $2.50, you can get a bowl of heartening warm soupy wanton noodles. The egg noodles were the type that I enjoy and though it was cheap, they did not skimp on the ingredients and the veggies. The wantons look to be wrapped in store and seemed very fresh when consumed. It seems like a lot of love and energy was put in the soup as it was a broth seems to have been boiled from little fishes. There always seems to be a line at this venue, but if you consider quality and quantity of the food that you get with the price, it's really a steal--and a hearty one too. continue reading

I went to ABC Brickworks food centre for dinner. there were quite a number of stalls opened. I noticed a queue at this stall and decided to order their shredded chicken hor fun. Their food prices were very reasonable, between $2.50 to $3. Initially my hor fun only cost $2.50 but I decided to add more hor fun as I was very hungry so it added up to $3, still very cheap for quite a large bowl. The hor fun is very chewy. the gravy is very tasty, not too salty. they also gave a bowl of soup to go along with the hor fun. As a whole, it was really satisfying. continue reading

This stall is strongly recommended by a friend. There was a long queue when i was there during lunch. I queued and waited for 15 minutes to order. I ordered a basic plate of wanton noodle for $3.00. The texture of the noodle was springy and chewy. It tasted delicious after tossed well the the sauce mix. It came with a generous bit of char siew, vegetable and 3 wantons in the soup. The taste of this wanton mee is easily one of the better ones around. continue reading

This stall always had a long queue whenever I visit this hawker centre, but not this time round, so I decided to give it a try.I ordered the shredded chicken noodles for $2.50. In fact, all their noodles cost only $2.50! The overall taste is slightly above average, and the green chilli is very well marinated, but however, the portion is a little small.I will come back to this stall again if I need a light meal. continue reading

Whenever I am at the ABC Brickworks Food Centre, there is always a queue at the Cantonese Seng Kee Wanton Noodles stall. Since i am curious if the noodles are nice and i am there before the queue is long, i decided to order a plate of dry wanton noodle. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the serving of char siew was generous. The wanton is a bit small but was tasty continue reading
