One of the best rojak and friendly stall owner. The yu cha kwey and tau pok are grilled to so crisspy and crunchy and the sauces are very tasty too.At $3 a packet, the portion is very generous too for grilled rojak and at $2.50, you can also get a generous packet of stirred rojak with lots of peanuts spread on top.Equally important is the sauce and i think this stall serve the best mixture of rojak sauce which make her rojak very nice. continue reading

One of my favourite local dishes is the Rojak, and I am glad that there is a stall that serves great rojak in my neighbourhood. Previously Hojiak Rojak was located at Blk 846 Yishun Ring Road coffee shop, but it has moved to Blk 848 coffee shop now, or should I say it has expanded to Blk 848 hehe. The friendly stall owner is now at Blk 848, but I think the original stall at Blk 846 is still under her management. What my mum and me love about the Rojak here is that the lady boss is very generous with her peanut topping, the youtiao is very crispy and overall she is not stingy with her servings.Even if we order takeaway and do not eat it immediately, the Rojak does not turn soggy, like my packet that you see from the picture above. It's also quite spicy so if you can't take too much spice, don't forget to tell her to just put a bit of chilli instead. They have black and white version of the Rojak, but I always like my Rojak with prawn paste sauce (black). Yummy! It lives up to its name indeed!NB: "Ho Jiak" is "Delicious" in Hokkien continue reading
