FOODNice utensils Roasted Peking Duck (Half) - $38One of the best roasted Beijing Duck I've ever tasted. Crispy skin with juicy meat equals to ultimate satisfaction! =) For the health-conscious ones, one may try it as it's not very oily unlike the usual peking duck. Egg Beancurd with Shrimp - $12This special beancurd has a very crispy skin on the outside, with its soft and smooth flesh inside. Prawn Pan-fried with Cereal - $22The fragrance of the dish is really so overwhelming! Fragrant and crispy cereal with butter prawns is a perfect combination! Mouth-watering dish that left my taste buds with a great impression. Sweet and Sour Pork with Pineapple - $16The usual sweet and sour pork one would die for. Its sweet and sour taste are well-proportioned and the cubes of porks are hot and crispy!Chilled Rosella Flower - $6This desert is like a pudding with mango cubes as its topping. It's a little too sweet, but generally acceptable. SERVICEThe service staffs are quite helpful and friendly, as they would give the recommended dishes when one is unsure of what to try out. AMBIENCEIt has a quiet ambience suitable for dinning. The place is not very big, so its advisable to make early bookings for those peak periods. continue reading

ChuDao is definitely on my recommended list of food places. I have tried a couple of dishes there and decided to try their Lychee Wood Barbecued Duck this time; we ordered the thigh meat, which was tender, and the skin wasn't too fatty and was very crispy, one of the better duck meats I've tried. But the dish I fell in love with was the Honshimeji Mushroom with Salted Pepper, which is an appetizer. I have eaten fried golden mushrooms before but not honshimeji mushrooms. Fried till crispy and very addictive. Bill totalled $20+ for 2 of us I think. They had a groupon promotion sometime back which my friend told me about; would definitely purchase it if there's a deal again. continue reading

The 北京烤鸭 Peking Duck is one of the restaurant's signature. You get the first few piping hot slices of the crispy skin. The rest was then sliced up for wrapping in the popiah skin. and it taste super awesome and very nice! i think it was the best one in singapore that we had eaten. it wont taste too oily and highly recommended! must try other dishes too! continue reading
