Passing by the colorful display of fruits and the menu board at SF, it was interesting to see the range of fresh fruit mixtures, coupled with fancy names, they have concocted to suit a variety of purposes. For example, there is a Hi-Energy Booster category with drinks like "Sky High" which is basically a fruit juice mixture of lime, pear and pineapple ($4.50) to boost your energy, while under "Tropical Teasers", you can find drinks like the "Bollywood Blaster ($5.00) with banana, grapefruit and pineapple to relax and refresh you. If you just want a simple, lower priced cup of fruit juice, you can choose from a range like Orange Juice ($2.50), Strawberry Juice ($3.50) and Rockmelon Juice ($4.00). There are also slices of chilled, fresh fruits such as Honeydew ($0.90) and Pineapple ($1.00) here. I got a slice of fruit and a fruit juice to go. Honeydew Juice 12oz ($2.50)This cost $2.50 for a 12oz cup, although you can upsize it to a 16oz cup for just $0.50 more. I stuck to the 12oz cup. To be honest, I thought the staff gave me the wrong drink upon taking my first sip. It was really light in taste and didn't really taste like honeydew although I did manage to discern a slight taste of it after repeated sips. Even eating the fruit itself would be sweeter than this juice. I suspected it might have been a little diluted from all the ice. You can request to add less or no ice but it would cost an additional $0.50 more.Watermelon Slice ($0.90)The watermelon was very juicy and fresh. Quite refreshing to have in Singapore's hot weather. The slice portion was quite okay although I suppose it is cheaper to buy the entire fruit from supermarkets, but this is ideal if you just want a quick grab of a slice of fresh fruit to eat on the way.Otherwise, the prices here are typical and similarly priced as the fruit juices in food courts, although the prices of the concoction ones can go as high as $5.50, which is pricey in my opinion. I'd just go for the simple, single-fruit fruit juice which is still refreshing and healthy enough. continue reading

got really excited when SF fruit and juice first opened in causeway point. its another alternative for a healthy snacki realise that their fruit juices are less expensive than in some food courts or juice bars in towns. I always order a big cup of avocado juice. its mildly sweetened with gula malaka and is so so refreshing. good for skin and has omega 3You may also buy cut fruits freshly cut and placed in a freezer display continue reading
