I have found a katong laksa at Holland Village and I need not travel all the way to Marine Parade just to have a bowl of laksa! To my amaze, the taste of the laksa is similar to the authentic one at Joo Chiat. The laksa gravy is very rich and not too dilute. It is not too spicy as well. However, I believe a little addition of their chill to the laksa will make the whole dish taste even better. continue reading

The famous Singapore Katong Laksa!Singapore laksa is different from Malaysia laksa, as i am a Malaysian, so i was really not used to Singapore Laksa which is more similar to curry soup base. I love Malaysia Laksa, the assam laksa type which is very sour and spicy, and i always sweat a lot when eating the exciting laksa! Anyway, i love curry too so as i judge this laksa as compared to curry, it's still very nice! And this is probably the nicest laksa i had in Singapore. The soup is creamy and spicy (because i put a lot of chillies paste inside!) and the noodle is my favourite type (chewy and spongy). the ingredient is less important for me, as long as the soup is nice, i can finish it! continue reading

since i like coconut products, laksa is also one of my favourite food. my friend told me this katong laksa is like most famous in singapore so i went down to try. first impression was already turn off because the space was very cramp and i think the situation was even worst than eating at a hawker center. but nonetheless still ordered the laksa to try. they come in different sizes so i just ordered the small bowl just in case i did not like it and the bowl was really small. super small portion that i was not full after eating it. the gravy was not bad but i do not think it was as fantastic as what others said. the laksa was too spicy for me even though i did not add extra chili. continue reading

This store in holland village selling katong laksa has been opened for quite sometime. I finally decided to order a bowl. I ordered a bowl of laksa with a side dish of otah. The otah just came off the grill and was hot and tasty. The laksa gravy was nice and thick with just the right amount of chili. The noodles was nicely cut up with makes eating it with a spoon a breeze. continue reading
