Had noodles with otah, fish fillet, and cabbage for $3.40 here. The otah was moderately spicy and thickness was just nice, not too thin. The cabbage was a little oily, very moist and texture was just right. The fish fillet was quite thick as compared to the skin and it had a slight salty taste. Price seemed to be a little expensive. Overall, it was an average meal. continue reading

Nowadays, I can hardly find a stall sell Nasi Lemak at $2. Even Ananas Cafes have different pricing for different stall. Only of the branch still selling at $2 and with a dine-in area was at Bukit Batok Mrt. There was a short queue during lunch hour, maybe because the meal price was among the lowest in that area. The dining area was very warm and stuffy, I felt there was no aircon, just using fan.I ordered Set A which consisted of a Chicken Wing and fried egg, they no longer give ikan bilis or cucumber now. The Nasi Lemak was above average. There was mild coconut aroma from the rice and even in the taste, though the rice lump together, not fluffy enough. The chicken wing was also surprising good, crispy one the outside and juicy in the meat. However, the chilli was not so good, it was sour and spicy. I still prefer Nasi Lemak's chilli that was sweet and spicy. continue reading
