Ever wanted to try a fusion of Chinese, Indian, Malay Food? Then Inle Myanmar Restaurant is the place to go. So, my Burmese friend has always been telling me how great Burmese food are. So I decided to go with her to get a first-hand experience of Burmese Food. Via the recommendation of my friend, I tried one of their famous dishes and their popular Dessert. Unfortunately, due to their extensive menu, I could not try all the dishes.TasteThis glass of pinkish sea with myriad of swimming 'treasures' is called Hpa Lu da or as I like to call it, the Bandung treasure glass. It consists of a Floating island of vanilla ice cream , the 'treasures' : which includes various jellies , chestnut, sago seeds fruits and pudding swimming in the sea of Rose Cordial Syrup. It is a great dessert for those with sweet tooth ( like me!). I also had a fine time digging out 'treasures' and tasting them. I had my doubts before I taste the dessert, however , I must agree the drink and the 'treasures' complement each other really well.'Do not judge a book by its cover'. This is my take-away when tasting this dish. Its translation in English means Claypot Rice. When I first saw the dish, I did not think it was claypot rice at all! The dish does not even look like a claypot. There was just an assortment of vegetables and Chicken ( I ordered the Chicken ; they also have pork and seafood ). So I was told to mix them up and mix I did. When the first spoonful of them entered my mouth, I was literally blown away by the rich taste of the food. You could taste the vegetable , rice , meat and gravy all at once! So it was definitely an eye-opener and a 'tongue-blaster' experience for me.Environment & ServiceThe waiter thought I was a burmese and he asked for my order in Burmese. His 'one-hundred-syllables' a minute got me tongue-tied. Luckily I had someone who could order for me. The restaurant also plays their native music. I guess this place caters more to the Burmese that are living in Singapore. But of course, I can spot a few Singaporeans and Caucasians at the other tables. The service people look friendly enough, maybe they should be encouraged to speak more English so as to cater to 'outsiders' like me.PriceThe dishes may seem expensive, but they are more than affordable (considering is a restaurant). An ala carte dish like the claypot rice would cost you around 7 dollars while the dessert is around $4.50.Definitely going back to try out more dishes. continue reading

tired of the noraml chinese or western food u eat everyday? try something new... try inle myanmar food. here is my recommendation:1. Appetizer Prawn Salad- the prawn are succulent and very fresh. fresh to the extent that they are sweet and crunchy.- the sauce they used is quite nice, unique2. Main Course Butter Flavoured Rice With Chicken Curry- the rice taste a little buttery goes really well with the chicken curry.- their chicken is tender and juicy- the curry is not too spicy, taste just right3. Dessert Myanmar Style Ice Kachang- yummy attap seads with glass jelly and corn. - very refreshing after eating the chicken curry above- they have pineapple paste too and peanuts, something different from our local ice kachang! continue reading

something new to try on without much risk taken as the taste of the food are similar to local taste. the food there are easily adaptable. been patronizing this restaurant for the past 2 years, it's standards remains! i have bring friends and even oversea friends over there too, and they all love it despite their differences. marina square branch is a better place to go to for the local as the service crew able to communicate with the customers in english. many local patronize here compare to the one at peninsula plaza... 3 items to try when patronize there, Hpa Luda Sour Plum JuiceChicken Salad. continue reading

Food here quite nice. Tried quite a number of dishes. Fa du la if I'm not wrong is one the dessert. Not that bad just that a lil too sweet for me. Chicken salad is really not bad. Serving may be small and doesn't look like a salad to me x) Main course is quite decent. Their special Myanmar curry taste kinda unique and not spicy at all. One of the must try! continue reading

Had many sessions over there as a couple of my friends were burmese.... Other the times i parton I remember havingthe pork ball noodle which was good but obviously not to that the standard in burma itself but nevertheless was still good..... desert Hua Lu Da (if i didnt get the spelling wrongly)- the desert was sweet but not overally but tends to come out a bit not too cold at times haha, just make sure its cold... Black bean paste pork with rice- good one but a bit oily and fatty, you could ask for a trim of the fatty possibly.... But obviously there a lot of people who likes the fatty parts... haha... Rest I had too many and wasnt a recent trip so to be honest cant remember all of them Average would be probably minimum of 15 to 30.... continue reading
