Buying this lovely cake for my friend, it was her birthday. Swiss Bake here was selling a huge variety for the cakes. There was only one for each flavour and they were properly displayed on the fridge. So, the birthday girl chose this, it was a chocolate sponge cake with a layer of Nuts, Pastry Cream and Jellied Fresh Mango. Fresh fruits such as Grapes, Cherries, Kiwi and Raspberries were nicely put on top of the cake. The size of the cake was quite small which was tiny and cute. It was sold at $19.50 for 300 grams cake. continue reading

New flavour up at Swissbake and i decided to give it a try. This Toblerone Chocolate Pastry is not at all cheap! It cost around 3++. It claimed to be a buttery Danish pastry with rich Toblerone Chocolate & Nougat but the thing is, when i bit on it and looked at the inner part, there's absolutely nothing! No chocolate no nothing. Is it that they forgotten to fill this puff up with fillings? How can it be!! It's plain dumb and expensive which i'll never lay my hands on them again! continue reading

I bought this huge garlic bread from swiss bake. This is one of the largest garlic bread I have seen at a bakery. Their garlic bread is very crispy. I love the garlic and herb fragrance. normally some places on spread garlic on the bread, but for swiss bake, they also use a lot of herbs as well. the herb gives the bread a fresh taste. The garlic spread is a little on the salty side, but when you eat it with the bread, it taste perfect. continue reading

I went to swissbake to grab myself a hearty pastry for supper. I really like the pastries that swiss bake sells. I got myself a Butter Gipfel Closed. It was pretty large in size. When you bites into it, it is really very crispy. Then you will smell this strong butter aroma coming out. When you taste the pasty, it is indeed fragrant and buttery. The texture is crispy on the outside and toward the inside it is pretty chewy. one Butter Gipfel Closed is really huge and can leave you full for a very long time. continue reading

While I enjoyed the rich and creamy texture of the Mango Cheesecake, I found the biscuit base a tad soggy. Nevertheless, at $5 for two slices, Swissbake's cheesecakes are a rather good deal and I wouldn't mind having them again. They're better than the cheesecakes at some coffee chains, at least! The Lemon Passionfruit Cake, which comprised layers of passionfruit cream and sponge topped with lemon curd, was pretty alright. While I liked the flavor profile of the cake, the sponge layers were a tad dry. continue reading
