Was so happy to see Green Pumpkin Bakery open in Great World City for I love Japanese breads. The pumpkin shaped buns are my favourite, I love how they look, it looks so adorable, cutesy and appealing, and just enticed my appetite whenever I see them.Their signature Green Pumpkin bread is my favourite, it has that mochi like chewy texture and generous yummy pumpkin filling, a must try for all pumpkin lovers! The Hokkaido Chocolate Melon Pan is quite normal, to me. It tastes like normal chocolate bread, only difference is that it has that chewy feel too. I would personally prefer the green pumpkin bread. Tried the onigiri on another occasion too, it is very tasty and definitely makes a good yummy snack! continue reading

I like the cranberry butter sugar bun, generous portion of cranberry and it is soft! yummy! The Tuskune Osakayaki taste quite special with marinated minced chicken inside it. The Salmon Sushi and kani mayo sushi taste okay. The salmon is not too fresh, since is after 8pm but with 30% offer is still very worth it right! continue reading

I had ordered a pax of Yu Sheng from Kuriya- IchiBan Boshi at Great World City Branch. The queue was long but worth waiting as the Yu Sheng was great. It was a large size Yu Sheng costs $42.80 nett without GST charge. The restaurant exercises honesty showing what the customers would expect to get from the Yu Sheng. In the Yu Sheng platte, there were 12 pices of Salmon Sashimi, 8 pieces of Hamachi Sashimi (Yellow Tail) and 8 pieces of Maguro Sashimi (Tuna). Putting all the Yu Sheng, it represents 4 numbers, 1288. What a nice 4D number. Huat Ah!The ingredient comprises chukka kurage, red ginger, chukka wakame, winter melon, lime, fried sesame, peanut crunch, pok chui biscuit, 5 spices, cinnamon & pepper, carrot & raddish and Yu Sheng sauce. One thing that I noticed was that for healthy eating, no oil is provided. All these ingredients are added together with the sashimi and tossed. After the toss, the individual serving looked wonderful. There were moisture on the ingredient ate. I can find thick sashimi. When I eat Yu Sheng, I like to suck as there was sweetness in the ingredients. The Yu Sheng was great and worth considering from Kuriya-Ichiban Boshi. continue reading

Sushi here is definitely a notch above most other sushi takeaway counters. The range is good and prices relatively affordable compared to some other places. The sushi that i enjoy the most is the salmon and avocado one which is tightly packed with delicious sushi rice and tons of fatty salmon and creamy avocado. A roll of 8 pieces costs $5.80 so its affordable to all. continue reading

Kuriya has good sushi that is pretty affordable comparative to many other places. We always get some California rolls which are my favorite!! There are premium California rolls here which come with higher quality seafood and lots and lots of egg roe! The roe is salty and pops in your mouth when you eat the sushi making it an absolutely delight to eat! The seasoning of the rice is also spot on. continue reading
