Have bought a bowl of this original flavour tau hua from this famous soya bean stall in Tampines mall. Before I can take a photo of this stall, the stall aunty has stopped me to do so...wah really strict on this. The stall is clean and simple, and from their display you can see different types of tau hua are available here. However I stil prefer the original flavour. The tau hua is smooth and not too sweet, and really flow into your throat easily and effortlessly. At $1.50 per bowl, is affordable and great from all age group. continue reading

Chilled beancurd has become one of the more affordable and easily obtained desserts as they are almost everywhere. I passed by 51 soya bean and decided to get a few tau huey, which costs $1.50 for the original one. It is not too sweet, and the chilled bean curd is silkier and smoother than the other less established brands. Still think that lao ban is better, but if not, 51 is also good. continue reading

When 51 beancurd first open at Tampines Mall, they always had a long queue of customers! I joined in and takeaway four bowls to share with my mom! We wanted to try all the different flavours that they were selling. Original, Almond, Mango and Strawberry! There is Durian flavour too but it's sold out. The texture of the bean curd was soft and smooth, similar to Lao Ban. I prefer the milky taste of Lao Ban though, which always just literally melt in my mouth. Original flavour is still the best followed by Almond. Mango and Strawberry tasted quite weird. continue reading

I was so pleased to see one of my favourite soya bean curd shop opened. I bought myself their original flavour. their bean curd got this incredible malt taste. it is not like those traditional tau huay with syrup you get at markets. their bean curd already has its sweetness mixed with the bean curd. it was very smooth and simply glides down your throat. really satisfying! continue reading
